Is this waffle maker ptfe & pfoa free? I don't see anything in the description that says it's ptfe & pfoa free.

I wanted to know too and just looked it up on their website. Good news! "The Durathon® ceramic nonstick grids are four times more durable than traditional nonstick, won’t crack or peel, and are PTFE and PFOA free." It is under the Details on their dot com site :)

what is the difference between waffle maker 26030 and 26031 besides the color of the plates?

The difference is the type of plates. One is a copper ceramic, the other is a "non-stick coating". The ceramics are also non-stick, and *should be* more durable. The other difference is the 26031 (ceramic) seems to be discontinued; at least, I can't find it on the Hamilton Beach website. So, maybe they didn't work as well.

Can I buy flat griddle type plates for rhis too?
