The material is sturdy, and holds up to being dropped accidentally a few times (😛). Catan and other hex boards fit well, and the lid is easily removable. I like the cutouts on the sides – they make it easier to remove the boards. The reason for the four stars instead of five is because there was some (during manufacturing?) sticky stuff on the lid, but it came off with a good soak in soapy water.
