Might Save You From a Murder Charge
Greetings. I bought this for a very particular reason: to be able to prove my whereabouts in the event I am wrongly accused of a crime. This device is wonderful. It provides very detailed routes traced out in Google Earth or Google Maps. Tap anywhere on the route and you will see the exact time you where at that spot. You can place yourself anywhere at any time, with precision. You do not need to have your smartphone with you. The device communicates with cell towers, not with your smartphone via Bluetooth, so if you forget your phone at home or at the office it is not a problem. You can view your routes later, once you regain possession of your phone. The app shows your start and stop times as well as beginning mileage and ending mileage. Since it plugs into your ODB port it records mileage and even knows when you are low on fuel and warns you.You can program geofencing for your children to alert you when they either leave or arrive at a location you input into the software. You can set alerts for hard braking and hard acceleration to see if your kids are "hot dogging" your car and causing premature wear. There is just so much functionality to this thing because it is being fed real-time information from the ODB port. And the monthly subscription fee is very reasonable. I looked into devices like this years ago and the devices themselves and monthly subscription plans were too expensive. Bouncie has crushed these barriers to entry. The average person can now afford this technology. The only thing this device cannot or should not be used for is real-time driving navigation assistance. There is about a 15-second delay in your actual position and position on the map, so if you're looking for an intersection you will drive through it (miss it) because of the delay. Not a problem. Either use a dedicated car GPS from Garmin, Magellan, TomTom, etc, or use Waze or Google Maps as your real-time driving app.Another cool feature is that since it shows your route end location, you can locate your car in the event you forgot where you parked. I had to do this yesterday. Went to a mall and forgot where I parked. Pulled out my smartphone and pulled up the Bouncie app. It indicated on the map where my car was parked. This thing is so accurate it always shows me my EXACT PARKING SPOT +1 left or right, meaning if you pinch zoom while in the satellite map, it will show you the exact parking spot you are in or might err one parking spot to the right or one parking spot to the left. It's absolutely incredible. The unit does not fit tightly into my ODB port and I was afraid it would back itself out and fall to the floor after a few days, so I used a cable tie to wrap around the Bouncie unit and its support mount/bracket. It is now fully secure and will not back out. Recommend at least an 18" cable tie, if it is too long just snip off the excess with scissors.Be well. I hope you found this review useful.

AMAZING APP!!!!!
I rarely write reviews, but I felt it necessary to write a review on this product. I recently purchased a car for my 17 year-old and let me tell you, this device is hands down the best tracking experience I’ve ever had! The features that this tracker has are amazing! The fact that I can get an alert if my son accelerates too fast, hard breaks, or goes over the speed limit is priceless! It shows me the percentage of gas he has remaining, the health of the car battery and engine, crash detection, and it even sends me alerts if there is bad weather in the area that the car is in. So so many features! These were just a few. I was extremely nervous about my son driving and when I tell you, this device has brought me so much peace of mind! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the developers of this tracking device. Parents of teens, listen to me, if you want a tracker that is extremely accurate and has so many features, this is the one for you! Trust me!! I Love it!!!!!

Easy to track your vehicle and covert
Well I have had this for a month and it works perfectly. There was a week when it stopped working for a couple of days and I contacted customer support through the app. They were very attentive and, although the unit began working on its own, they were right there ready to help. Everything is as advertised. If you want to keep track of your vehicle it gives you a detailed map of where it’s been, including addresses. Suspect a cheating spouse, a teen going places they shouldn’t or driving too fast? This is the solution. (I will add the disclaimer that you should always adhere to legal rules and laws regarding the use of this item). With it installed in the OBD port it would be a rare thing for anyone unschooled in mechanics to notice. In fact, unless someone is specifically going to use the OBD port, the item would most likely go unnoticed even by a mechanic. The monthly $10 fee for basic service is worth it. That’s less than 35 cents a day! There is a battery monitoring feature and the unit goes to sleep when parked for a long time. So I do not see it draining the vehicle battery, and if it does, the unit will warn you before the battery ever goes dead. Easy plug and play install, the app is also easy to use once you get used to the various controls on the screens. I highly recommend this. If things change in the next few months, I will add to this review.I have had this unit installed for over 2 months now and it is working incredibly well. Do you want to track your vehicle, this is the tool. The detailed information it provides, including street view of the area the vehicle was parked is like having your own personal private investigator, only much cheaper.

An asset to my business
Purchased these for my delivery car Fleet. They were easy to install and work great. I can track all the cars at the same time on the app. Setup time is about 20 minute per vehicle. Well worth the investment and monthly fee. I can manage all the vehicles from my phone remotely. I even get notifications on anything I want to manage, like speed, fuel levels.

Love this thing
I love this thing. My daughter just started driving, and I wanted to help her make good choices and be safe. This device is perfect.Set up was a breeze. Download the app on your phone, create an account, then plug the device into the OBD port on your vehicle. That't it. Once you're set up, you have to drive for a bit for everything to sync up and start working. Don't get alarmed if you don't see trip data. It will show up once installation and syncing are complete.Trip data is comprehensive and accurate. Won't take the time to list all the data that is available, since it is outlined in the product description. Suffice it to say it does everything that is says it does.No issues with the app. It always seems to run smoothly, and information seems to be up to date. Why a 4 instead of a 5? I turned on the alerts for extreme braking and extreme acceleration. I purposely did a hard brake and hard acceleration, but I did not get an alert. I was able to reach someone from Bouncie on chat, and they told me that the car is still syncing, and eventually alerts will show up. I'll change the rating and update this review if that happens. Also integrates nicely with Alexa. I tried it and it works, but my attitude about that is....so what?. Not sure how much (if at all), I will use Alexa with this device.Overall, this has all the features that you could probably want. One of the biggest bonuses is the monthly monitoring fee. It's $8 per month, which is significantly lower than the $20-$25 that most other GPS/data trackers charge. They also have a 3 for $20 plan. At that price, you could hook up all of your vehicles. At the moment, I'm only using this on the car my daughter drives, but I may decide to add my car later.Bottom line is I would recommend this.**Update 11/13/18** I went ahead and bumped this up to 5 stars. As noted in my initial review, my only issue was that I didn't seem to be getting alerts for hard braking or acceleration. The support folks at Bouncie told me it was still syncing, and it was. I get the alerts now. Everything works perfectly, including Geofencing. When my car leaves or enters my driveway, or leaves or enters school, I get an alert. Helps me to know that my daughter got to and from school safely, even if I'm not home.

Collision detection unreliable
I purchased Bouncie for my Turo fleet primarily because of its advertised collision detection feature. Unfortunately, that feature has been extremely disappointing in my experience.I’ve had between five and seven vehicles involved in accidents while using Bouncie, including some with significant damage, and I have never received a single collision alert. For fleet operators who rely on timely notifications, that is a major concern. As a basic GPS tracking device, Bouncie works well. The app is easy to use, location tracking is generally accurate, and installation is straightforward. However, the collision detection capability has not performed as advertised for me.Another drawback is that the device can be easily unplugged or disabled by a guest, which limits its effectiveness for vehicle security and fleet management.Overall, it’s a decent GPS tracker, but if you’re purchasing it specifically for collision notifications, my experience suggests you may want to temper your expectations.

It’s a good buy. Fully recommend
It is straightforward to set up and operates similarly to a geo-tabe system, which is commonly used by counties to manage their fleets. However, it is significantly more cost-effective. Fully recommend.

Great tracking and systems check.
Great product to keep track of where your vehicle is at all times. I’m of a certain age and I drive everyday. The Bouncie allows my son to know where the vehicle is and whether all systems are operating properly. You can check your fuel level from anywhere. Sometimes I don’t pay attention to my fuel levels. I can simply open the app wherever I am and check that. I will never be without this.

A life saver for keeping tabs on your kids - Accurate and easy to use!
I don't usually go out of my way to leave reviews unless something is really bad or really good. In this case I have purchased 2 of these GPS trackers for both my kids cars and they have been incredibly helpful to have and gives me peace of mind. My kids sometimes drive home late from work, or take longer trips, and this way I know they reach there destination safely, or if there is a problem like a flat tire, I know where they can be located. They are very accurate and work fine 99% of the time. Super easy to install just plug and play, and then track using their app. Its easy to switch between the 2 cars in the app. Its also great for keeping tabs on when servicing is due as it tracks mileage. Yes it costs a few dollars per month but for me its a cheap way for peace of mind!! and Kudos to the app makers as many apps are terrible but this one is pretty good.

Great product, great customer service
We bought this because of driving concerns with a family member who is showing dementia; there was an incident where our loved one went for a drive, got lost and It took more than 20 hours for them to find their way home.We needed something to provide peace of mind, ideally alerts and a last know location.Bouncie provides all of that REALLY, REALLY well. The setup was easy. We did have some trouble activating the device (it was registered to another account, so possibly a return?) but the customer service chat representative fixed the problem in a few minutes. No other problems and the OBD device was super simple to install. The monthly price, information it provides and ease of the platform are all excellent. We only wish it would provide more text/call options for those late night alerts. We linked Bouncie to IFTTT as well to help visually alerts us by blinking our lights in case we don’t have our phones nearby by - but a call or text would be helpful. We would also love to see Apple Watch integration.Overall, it does everything it say - and it does it excellently and intuitively.Highly recommend for a bunch of reasons and for a bunch of applications - but especially if you’re concerned about a loved one getting lost or confused while driving.

Très facile d’installation et aucun frais d’activation
Je l’ai installé moi-même et je suis une femme de 52 ans. Ça m’a pris 2 minutes.

Lots of features, not 100% reliable.
Nice to be able to see the car diagnostics as well as keep an eye on the vehicles. Gives quite a bit of peace of mind.Have had a few issues where the device has decided it was 'disconnected' for a period of time, it did generally correct itself without having to be re-installed.The other issue is more 'remote' areas, when travelling out to some more remote tourist areas, the cellular service has given out and the device was without connection while in the area. It did log the trip and keep distance and speed information when it eventually reconnected, but that isn't the value in a tracker is it?
