I read that this would not get rid of smudges, how would I do that?

I have been a record collector for over 30 years. This is the best record brush I have ever used the brush is used for cleaning dust and dirt off of the record before playing. It does not clean the smudges on record and dirt that gets into the groves. To clean the smudges and dirt in the vinyl grooves you need to clean your records. The best way to clean records is to buy a record cleaning machine they vary in price. From very expensive to fairly cheap. I clean my records myself and do not use a machine. You can go on to you tube and see all the different ways to clean records. Pick the one you think is right for you and your budget.

How do i use a multimeter to test this product?

I have no idea who these people are saying this brush works well. Believe the bad reviews. I'm sorry I didn't. This brush quite literally creates massive static.. One of the reviewers tested this as you suggested and the test results prove it creates static. The micro fibers also fall off and stick to the record. It oead to scratching a brand new expensive pressing of mine. I'm furious about it and trashed the brush. I can't express to you enough how much you should avoid this brush.

How do you remove particles off of the brush?

The brush handle has a slightly raised lip inside of it, specifically for this purpose. Just swivel the brush back and forth inside the handle a few times, and any accumulated particles will be removed from the brush fibers.

Do I need to use a liquid product or alcohol or just the brush itself?

Accepted Answer

No liquid cleaner is required to use with the brush (in fact, we advise against it). Just the brush itself is required for effective cleaning.
