Review of orthopaedics by M Miller
Very good for the trainees but there are silly mistakes which could have been avoided by careful correction(e.g In anatomy section there is a wrong describtion of ECRB being supplied by radial nerve and like this many mistakes have been noted)

Excellent for Board
I tried this new edition of the book preparing for my board exam. It is an excellent review giving you a lot of information in a short time. It must be deficult text for those from outside the field of orthopedics.

Must have for residents
Great book, concise information about all topics. Not for in depth study but as a review book. Thumbs up for the anatomy chapters.

Useful in North America but probably not for FRCS or FRACS
I hated it, but started reading it as I was told "you can't pass without it". After committing several months to covering the chapters, I felt worse off after reading it...I had incomplete understanding of everything. It way too brief in some sections / too deep in others. I tried testing myself a few weeks later and found I had incomplete recollection of the minutia. It has lots of numbers & diagrams that wold no doubt appear in the Orthopedic Board exams. Perhaps it is aimed at North American Board exams rather than practical orthopaedics. Probably not suited to examination styles that require verbal assessments. For a comprehensive guide to orthopaedic practice, try Wiesel's "Operative Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery".

Too many typos!!
Sadly, this "must have" for any orthopedic resident is so peppered with errors that it makes reading the text a frustrating task to say the least. The editors did a terrible job of proofreading prior to putting out this book. The shear quantity of errors forces the reader to constantly cross-reference additional materials to see if IT is wrong or YOU are. This makes studying slow and confusing at times. Some examples: 1. Table 2-3: The abductor pollicis longus is listed under the muscles innervated by the Median nerve. Since this muscle is actually innervated by the PIN nerve, it should probably be the abductor pollicis brevis. "Supinator head of flexor pollicis brevis" should instead be "superficial head of flexor pollicis brevis." 2. Table 2-4 lists the inter-muscular interval for the posterior humerus approach as the Long triceps and the radial nerve and brachial artery. Rather, the long triceps is split, and the radial nerve and brachial artery should instead be under the column for "structures at risk."

Essential
The text is great, but the online version is either not very user friendly or I am not past my learning curve with it yet.

No doubt that this is the book that every orthopaedic ...
No doubt that this is the book that every orthopaedic surgeon reads during his or her training. Miller's has seen me through the EBOT exam and it was the only text book that I used.

das beste
Hallo, der Miller ist für mich einfach das beste orthopädische Lehrbuch mit hervorragenden Zusammenfassungen. Die Vorauflage ist fast noch einen Tick übersichtlicher.

Knowledgable
It is very good book, but unfortunatley very packed in knowledge and need a lote of consentration. I like it as a book which contents very valuable knowledge, but should be in a biger text book with more details in some subjects. Also should be better with it's cover. Yes, I will recomended for my freinds.
