Needed to replace busted fluorescent tubing inside a "light box" style sign I purchased secondhand. I experimented with a few LED strips but decided to go with this one. Brackets came in the box (got a 5m length and got 8 brackets),and this worked PERFECTLY. About the same brightness as the original lighting, but less energy and weight, and it cycles RGB very nicely. You need the remote to change the settings - the default is super fast, but there's a "fade" setting that slowly cycles through the colors. The remote reaches through a thick pane of glass and a sheet of acrylic, but you gotta get close to it (I'm just happy it reaches at all, so not a minus from me). Extremely happy with this - it's a perfect choice if you need to replace or emulate traditional light tubing.

I love these lights for the price. I see there are some 1 star reviews, but it's a 4-5 star product. I bought a second strip after I installed the first one (I liked it and wanted to expand the look). Negatives: -the screws it comes with are small (they do work, but drywall screws are much faster) -for some projects you might need more of the mounting channels, but you can buy 30 for $10 on Amazon, and that's way more than you'd need (it does include enough for most projects) -the picture with the multi-color lettered signs is deceiving, but if you look at the other pictures and read the summary, you shouldn't expect them to be able to do that (where some of the negative reviews seem to come from) Positives: -cheap -bright -work -look cool

The brightness and colors are great but every time you hit a color option on the remote, it's not the color you click on. When you stop or play a movie on your TV, the neon light strip changes or colors which is weird. This started happening about 2 weeks after I bought these, and I am not the only person that had complained about this issue. The red color option no longer works as well as other colors on the remote so I now have a limited option to choose from. I didn't ask for a refund because the quality of the rope looks sturdy and it really lights up a room.

Our pool was built in the late 90s. It had fiber optic lights around the perimeter. They required very expensive, hard to find bulbs for replacement, a fire hydrant sized console for the bulb, fan and rotating glass wheel to change colors and it had to pretty much be dark to see the lights. We ripped the fiber optic cable out and replaced it with this strip of lights that is the first 110v led lights in one strip long enough to go around the pool that I have seen. We used white bathroom caulk to secure the strand in the groove for the old fiber optic cable. These lights are MUCH brighter. They are visible in direct mid day sun though not bright. But if it is shady or dusk they are bright (the video is at dusk and doesn't really do them justice honestly) and at night they are VERY bright. I like the more continuous neon look of them although there is a small break in the light every foot (so that you can safely cut it too length). The only negative I would say is that the remote could have more functions like letting you program your own sequence of colors, but it is a minor issue. Not sure I would have taken the time to do that anyway. Of course, the longer strands aren't cheap and the big question is how will the system stand up to being outdoors long term. We have a powered pool cover so the control box is hid from rain and direct sun down with the pulley mechanisms. But it will still see some pretty big temperature variation and condensation. The strand itself I don't have doubts about, just the control box. I will update you about longevity (2 months of summer, no issues). If the seller reads this, please be sure to make replacement control boxes for sale at a reasonable price if you want to get decent reviews because if mine goes out and I either can't get one or you overcharge for it, your rating will plummet.

First off, it says in the instructions that you can cut it but what it doesn't tell you is that the piece that you had cut off is useless now. After that, I had my 5m-long strip all setup and ready to go. The first time I turned it on it was a disappointment already, I could easily see the individual led lights inside of the diffuser. It didn't look bad from afar, yet. Now, I never used them for more than a 4-hour long session and I had been using them for the last 2 weeks (somedays I didn't turn them on). So all in all, I used them for around 50 hours. Additionally, I always used one color only, orange, but in the last 4 days it has been getting worse everyday I turn them on. As you can see in the pictures attached to this review, some parts just turn off in certain colors and in some others, they're either at a lower instensity of the color set, which you can't change by any means or another random color that aside from looking wrong, kilos the vibe. I regret each and every peny I spent on this stupid strip and I hope you don't buy this. If you're reading this, it means that you are questioning yourself whether to buy these or not, please don't. In my case, I'm going to buy a one-color neon strip lights because they're more likely to last longer from what I've seen. In conclusion, what I learned from this is to read the reviews first, which is what you're doing right now so great and most of rgb strp lights (at least the ones in the 30-80 dollars range) fail all the time, so don't buy these lights and have a nice day.

I used this to line my stand up arcade cabinet and it blew me away. Great quality, flexible, easy to use. SO BRIGHT! The setting in my picture is low and but its really bright on low. I did note that the higher the brightness, the more the color washed out, but you can adjust brightness/color to your taste. The only inconvenience is the odor from this product. Its not terribly strong, but you do notice it. I'm certain it will air out eventually. I highly recommend this product. I will buy again for next project.

These lights are so bright so amazing easy to wrap or zip tie or install however on anything so awesome with all the many different things with remote controls sealed 100 percent no water getting into them just so amazing I’m crazy about lights have all kinds and these are the best!!! I also put under my trailer will be posting another video underneath I recommend these lights I got 98ft wrapped two times around pool with zip ties real easy looks so sharp everyone asks where you get your lights you’ll be the talk of your town

Very bendable and very bright. It comes with and IR remote that allows you to dim the brightness in 10% increments. Very good quality, I was very surprised. It comes with the clips to attach it to whatever you want. HOWEVER, if you’re going to bend it, you will require more clips then what comes with it (This was my case anyways). For my application, I was able to use superglue and it held with no issues. On the back side of the led strip, there are markings to show you where to cut, if you plan on cutting it. Do yourself a favor and follow those lines. If you don’t, you’ll kill a chunk of otherwise usable led strip. What else can I tell you?…I haven’t gone swimming with mine, so I can’t verify if it’s waterproof…but it sure seems like it would be. 10/10 I would by this product again if I ever find myself needing it for a project or whatever. I wanted to find a strip light that cast a continuous line of light instead of discreet "dots" of light and this is it. Many other strip lights have a picture on their packaging that seems to show a continuous light but it is not -- very deceptive advertising by those other companies in my opinion. The amount of light cast is very pure white (not blue-white like some LEDs) and quite bright. Of course, you can dim the light via the remote too. Please beware that this strip light does not change colors. The pictures are not very clear in this regard. A solid product. Good quality it appears, but I've only had it for one month.

My lights came in remarkably fast. The power box did not work. I contacted customer service. They were extremely helpful!! Sent out a new power box and remote just incase the remote didn't work! The replacement came very quickly! It works awesome! Very bright. They will be perfect for my deck. Can't wait to put them up!!!!!
