I have purchased close to 100 butane torches off of Amazon in the past, from, cigar torches to culinary torches and this is by far the worst I've had. Right out of the box the flame on one of the jets was intermittent and soon after the trigger began sticking to the "on" position which is a serious hazard. Then a few days ago it began shocking you every time you lit it if your hand was touching the upper metal part. Soon after (which was 2 days ago) the flame would only stay lit for 2 seconds no matter what methods I tried without taking the lighter completely apart. Tried 3 different brands of butane, bleeding the tank, cleaning the nozzles with no improvement. Yes, it is only a $10 torch, but i have had gas station torches last 10 times longer as this torch did, which it arrived on my doorstep October 30. So only lasting roughly 15 days before completely crapping out

Good flame. Lights everytime

Downgraded product - the exterior of this lighter used to have a solid metal exterior, which felt really nice in the hand. The new version still works great, but there are many torch lighters that also work great. Next time I think I'll buy a different brand.

I recently picked up the Zoocura Jet Flame Torch Lighter, hoping for something strong and reliable—especially for kitchen tasks and lighting my outdoor grill. After a week of use, here’s how it stacks up: 👍 What I Liked: Impressively powerful flame —It lights up fast and gets hot quick, ideal for searing meats or browning sugar. Adjustable flame control is handy: easy to dial it down for delicate jobs like crème brûlée or slowly melting cheese. Refillable with standard butane, so you don’t need to toss it when it runs out. 👎 What Could Be Better: Button feels a bit stiff, so it takes extra pressure to ignite. It’s never stuck, but it’s not as smooth as I hoped. Plastic body feels lightweight, which is great for portability, but gives it a slightly flimsy feel in your hand. No safety lock—I’d feel more comfortable if there was a child-safe feature, especially with this kind of flame. 🧭 Final Take: The Zoocura Torch Lighter is a solid mid‑range choice—flame’s strong, and it works well for most kitchen or hobby tasks. But if you’re after something more durable, smoother to use, or with safety features, you might want to spend a bit more for a premium model. Still, for the price, it gets the job done and deserves a middle-of-the-road 3-star rating.

I love the ease of use, window to see fuel level, and adjustable flame. Where this product fails is the switch to ignite and keep fuel burning heats up and eventually burns the thumb during continued use. If it takes more than a few seconds to light your candle or cigar or whatever, you can expect to feel it heat up to scalding temps as hot air vents around the switch and your exposed digit. Also after a couple months it is struggling to ignite consistently.
