My son was killed in Afghanistan. Each birthday & angelversary that passes we send off river & sky lanterns. I've ordered many in the past but 1st time ordering these ones. The quality is exactly like the others I have ordered. They unfold nicely, don't sink, you can write on them or put stickers. None ripped as others complained. I have multiple people helping to unfold & set up the river lanterns, never have I had one rip or sink. Not sure what everyone else is doing to make this happen but the average person can do it without issues. I do change out the candles. The candles provided do light & work great. I change them because I use a longer burning tea lite candle & use the ones provided at home. The lanterns are absolutely beautiful going down the river. It is a great way to honor a fallen hero or a loved ones birthday or angelversary.

These were beautiful. My daughter Starry passed away and we set these lanterns off in a friends swimming pool for her birthday. We wrote a lot of other children’s names on the lanterns who passed away too. They were easy to put together and they kept their shape. They floated for a good hour before the candles went out. Decent size, functions as intended, they do have some wrinkles but that didn’t bother me. They had a soft glow and brightness to them. I would definitely purchase again and they are a great value for the money if you are wanting to find a way to honor your loved ones since releasing paper lanterns into the air is illegal most places without permits.

They are fragile to open and most don’t open perfectly square. For the money I thought it was a decent purchase. I didn’t put the little candle that came with it. I used a battery operated votive and they worked fine and remained all night in the pool

Do not order this product. This was bought for a vow renewal ceremony. The purpose was for them to float in my pool for my ceremony. And these lanterns didnt even float. I couldn’t not go outside because I was in my dress and was not to be seen, and the party planner was in panic mode because they started to disintegrate and fall to the bottom of the pool. The look we had went down hill because those lanterns were a big part of our day. And we couldn’t even get the pictures we had planned.. :( So if you are thinking about buying these lanterns- DONT!! I was so upset and because I couldn’t fish them out of my pool or what’s left of them and send them back to Amazon, they only are giving me a partial refund credit to Amazon and not a full refund to my card.. this sucks. It’s not a ton of money but it’s still the point. The pictures looks great but don’t be fooled. They don’t look like that or withstand on the water! Truly disappointed

We used these floating lanterns in a memorial for a family member who passed away. They held up well floating down the river. I took off two stars based on the inaccurate descriptions. These do not come with an adhesive to keep the tea lights in place. Also, they are described as 100% biodegradable. Perhaps the paper is, but the tea lights had a metal base. The lanterns were easy to assemble. Each one is individually wrapped so we made sure to bring back those plastic bags. Yes, the boxes were wrinkled after assembly, but once lit and released in the water it’s not as* noticeable.

Absolutely zero issues or problems. Some pens are harder to use than others, but some messages aren't for all to read, so that's okay. Permanant markers work well. We went out to set them off just before sunset so it wasn't too dark. IT was nice to watch them float off as the sky got darker. These were just beautiful and I would buy them again.

Great quality beautiful lanterns to end or add to any celebration. Each lantern was very easy to use and to put togther without ripping.

Lo usé para colocar en una piscina, donde le pedí matrimonio a mi novia, y fueron excelentes para la ocasión. Incluyen una vela así que no tienes que comprarla aparte. Les doy 4 estrellas porque sí fueron desechables. Sólo sirvieron para una única ocasión. Pd. Pidan con tiempo, tardan un poco en llegar.

When you try to open it to make a square it rips. The material is terrible, the sides look like saran wrap. This would not float. Do not buy
