Easy setup, works great. Tested from 25 feet away on Fedora 43 with multiple monitors, no problem
I found this combination kb/mouse to be very easy to setup and intuitive to use. The included 2.4ghz usb adapter is probably the easiest way to use it with a PC, just plug it in and you're done. Or for Bluetooth, press and hold the OK and BACK keys until the red light flashes to enter pairing mode. Controlling the mouse is easy and intuitive, although you may need to get used to the idea of how an air pointer mouse works, ie the direction it's pointing when you enable it, relative to the current position of the mouse, is fairly critical. You'll want to aim the pointer towards whereever the mouse is currently, then enable air-mouse mode (click anything to wake it up, or press the mouse icon button on the device), now when you turn your hand, the mouse will move relative to that. In the attached video I use it to draw a crude smiley face and type a short message into notepad. Works great, very easy learning curve. Then I tried to see what the range is like, and I never did exceed the range, even using it from two rooms away, looking down a hallway at my monitor, it still worked totally fine. So it's at least 25-30 feet. This is a great pointer device for anyone giving presentations, and it will work even better with large projected images, too. I tested it on a multi-monitor setup where one screen is curved and in landscape orientation, and another screen is vertical in portrait orientation, and it worked great between them, no hiccups or weirdness moving from one screen to another. I'm sure this is also great for smart TVs. The price is reasonable, although $31, the price on sale as I write this, is probably right on the edge of what I would consider a fair price for this product. if it was $35, that would be too much. If you can get it on sale for $20-$25 I think that is a good deal. The construction is very good, it's very solid. It feels like it has a metal aluminum frame, it's very sturdy. The keys and buttons all have a nice click action to them, they're not squishy and ambiguous like gel buttons can sometimes be. The design is very dust resistant, this was made to survive pockets without getting destroyed by lint and car keys. It charged up in a few minutes and the charge seems to last a good long time. I would recommend this product for anyone that needs a small mouse / kb enabled controller for their smart TV, or anyone doing presentations and powerpoint slideshows, and it's also great for people using Raspberry PIs and similar devices where you may not need a keyboard very often, but sometimes it's required. My suggestion for the manufacturers is to find a way to print the instructions a bit larger. The print is just microscopic, you almost have to take a picture of the text just to zoom in enough to read it. But it's a mostly self explanatory product anyways so it's not a big deal.
