Hot Doglicious Microwave Hot Dog Cooker

I saw a video on FB with a guy trying items...this was the only one he liked, And so did I! So I got it. I am by myself, so this is wonderful! So easy to use and clean up...no mess at all. I did do as the fella suggested...do the hot dog for 30 seconds, and then put the bun on and do 30 more seconds. Fabulous! I am a happy hot dog maker! Can't go wrong with this...would be great for kids.

I see many people have their own ideas about what a hot dog should taste like. For me the hot dog cooks perfectly every time, along with the bun. Just do 1/2 minute for the bun and 1 minute for the hot dog (for my large capacity microwave) - and the result is better than 90 percent of the hot dogs I've tasted - crisp, fully cooked dog with a warm but not soggy or hard bun. It is so easy to use that even cooking 3-4 dogs for a 2 person meal is a time saver even though you can only do one at a time. The only thing that knocks a star off is that the hot dog tray is actually not easy to clean because of all of the ridges that tend to be coated with hot dog oil/juice. Other than that, it's great.

I'm one of those office workers, who can never find time to take a full lunch. I took the upgrade from Ramen Noodles and now achieved 1 minute cooked lunches. The hot dogs are cooked well and tasty, and steamed bun is just like from the hot dog vendors in central park.. just way cleaner! :) It may not be the best thing to nuke out tasty dogs for a group of people, but works perfectly for me. Nice uni tasker that I use quite often!

I saw this product on Freaken Reviews on youtube. I like microwaved hotdogs for lunch and this device makes cooking them and warming the bun easy. It's a clever product that performs as advertised. Revision: I have used this gizmo for a couple of months and have decided that its too hard to clean. The little blades that cut into the hot dog make lots of corners that are just too hard to get grease free. If I had a dishwasher Id proably feel differently but I have reverted to microwaving my hot dogs on a plain old fashioned plate.

Bought this after seeing James White's review on "Freakin' Reviews" (good YT review site). It's real convenient and fast...within 60 sec you have a scored, cooked hot dog and steamed bun. Great when you're in a hurry. Also, after cooking the hot dog tray will have accumulated close to a tsp of liquid runoff. My wife saw this and though it would make the dog less juicy.....not so. I put the hot dog in the microwave for 30 sec THEN add the bun for remaining 30 sec. I found the bun was too soggy if microwaved tor the full 60 secs. Neat product! I guess the only downside is that you can only do one dog at a time...of course you could have more than one these dog cookers.

I ordered this just for fun and to test the idea. I love a quick hotdog and thought this could be a great idea. I assumed the design would cook the hotdog while not over heat the bun. It only somewhat accomplished that. As the bun cooled it got typically tough and hard like a nuc'ed bun does. The design is great allowing you to pull out the cooking tube dropping the hotdog right into the bun but not the grease and water you don't want on the bun. Sadly the build was very bad, as the pictures show it doesn't fit at all and nearly fell apart as I lifted it into the microwave, and then again as I took it out and flipped it over per instructions. It's not an awful gadget but for a quick option I much prefer a dog cooked in a toaster oven for one cycle, then adding the open bun for the second cycle giving you a nice hot even browned dog and toasted bun.

This little hot dog cooker was the third type I tried and it comes out the big winner! It only makes one to dog at a time but they cook so rapidly it takes very little time to prepare for 2-3 people. The only reason it gets 4 stars for me is the time recommendations do not really work well and I have been able to adjust to make them perfect. 35 seconds with just the hot dog, then add bun for 10-15 seconds more, depending they type of bun; for a regular generic bun use 10 seconds, for a more premium hot dog bun/roll use 15 seconds. That should do it. Please do not b deterred from purchasing due to this little work-around, it will serve you well, as it has served us!!! You will love it too UPDATE on second purchase: this item this time around was awful, packaging opened, dirty and smelly. This was a used product sold a new. Very disappointed and extremely gross as I reached in to remove from box and my whole hand was covered in spoiled acrid hot dog grease. Obviously went right in trash before I got sick to my stomach.

The item worked perfectly as described. I know you can cook a hotdog with a lot less work, but this literally cooked a hotdog and bun perfectly. I would highly recommend this item if you are picky about good tasting hotdogs and they actually make the hotdogs look good too.
