Minimalist perfection.
Light weight, durable, functional.........all that's required of a tackle bag. Rather than the four boxes stacked vertically, I use two smaller 3200 series Gamakatsu boxes, carrying a total of 10 different baits (if you're hauling more than that you ain't fishin'........you're just confused). Under these two boxes I keep a sealed-top kitchen box containing a few essentials: multitool, flashlight, hook stone, spool of fluorocarbon leader and a spare lighter and pack of smokes. The side pouches hold sunglass case, line conditioner, gloves and a Boga Grip. All easily accessible. To prevent premature wear of the bottom I installed a set of silicone bumpers (usually used to isolate hi-fi speakers from the floor), keeping the thing up off the deck/sand/rocks/etc. Been through a LOT of tackle boxes and bags over the last 50 years of angling but this one fills the bill to a tee. No metal to corrode in the saltwater environment I fish, mesh panels down low to drain any water that comes aboard.........perfect.
