Hi, Kathryn,The whole beans are vacuum packed and I found them fresh. I keep the open bag in an airtight container and only grind what I need. I like Raven's Brew, Deadman's Reach very much, ever since I had it for the first time in Alaska. Hope this is helpful.

I’m new to raven brew, tried santa caws over the holidays and am now trying to find one similar. which roast is the chocolatiest?

Go on their web site that will explain every flavor they have. Ravens Brew is a Northwest coffee brewed in Tumwater, Wa and Ketchikan , AK. The art work is done by an artist from Ketchikan and well known:)

Usually fairly fresh but, please, be aware that bags don't have a date of roasting printed on them. Don't expect this coffee to be as fresh as some on demand roasters.Bags don't have a degas valve neither.I have bought these beans many times and they are always in good condition. I don't recall to have found a stale batch ever.Good luck.

Why should i purchase beans when the bag does not show the roasting date? They could be months or years old?

Best coffee always fresh, been prdering the large bag of beand over a year now and closer to 2. Expiration date listed on bag. Your definitely missing out. The best hands down. Tried them all.
