As I get older, my eyes need more light to read. So I searched on Amazon for a bedroom reading light. I choose this lamp, the Joly Joy Floor Lamp for Living Room 12W Dimmable Flexible Gooseneck with Remote Control. I rarely write reviews, too lazy! But I had to share my excellent experience with the lamp and the company. First, the lamp arrived earlier than expected. It took me less than 5 minutes to put it together. Its very easy to assemble. Just screw together the three sections and screw on the base and you are ready to rock & roll! I had one problem. When I took off the remote control's battery cover a small piece broke off. I contacted the seller to ask for a replacement battery cover. They replied quickly. They could not send me either a replacement battery cover or remote because they do not stockpile battery covers or remotes. So they would send me another complete unit! A new lamp and remote!!! I was stunned! This was way above and beyond the call of duty! I received the new lamp and remote a couple of days later. I setup the new unit but the remote did not work. I unplugged the new unit to deal with the remote issue later. Today, I received a follow-up email from the seller to make sure that everything was ok along with instructions to reset the remote if that was an issue! I followed the easy instructions to reset the remote and I could not be happier. Now I have two perfect reading lamps. I was so surprised when I emailed them to get their address to return the new replacement lamp. They told me to keep it! Wow!!! Please do not take advantage of them. They are good people. Very nice. The world would be a better place if we all acted this way. They seem to be a small company that could use more business. I can only gush about my experience with them. It is rare for a company to make such an excellent product AND back it up with superior customer service. Buy this lamp if you need a reading light wherever you put it in your home. The light brightness and color temperature can be controlled with the remote. I look forward to going to bed to read now. Before I had to read in my living room or during the day. I was looking for a task light that would not take up space on my desk surface and be relatively unobtrusive. This is the perfect lamp for that situation. It sits at the edge of the desk and hovers over the the desk surface where the laptop sits. With it's slim profile I hardly notice it anymore. The when shaped like an L (inverted) the horizontal portion is 48" above the floor and about 16" above the desktop. The horizontal leg extends about 24" from the vertical shaft -the 12" at the end is the light portion. Sturdy, stable and easy to assemble. I did not think I would use the remote as much as I do -which is always. It is really handy to turn on/off. There are also color/brightness settings (6 presets plus infinitely adjustable) on the remote which I rarely manipulate since I use it for the same task each time. Your setting remains during off/on. Highly recommend. May be in the market for another on some day soon.

I really liked the lamp with the remote and the different settings. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is the lamp is short, not tall as your other floor lamps. Need to put it on a stand. Other wise its nice and I like the other fetchers the lamp has.

Purchased this light for my wife. She loves it! The LED lights offers different brightness and light color settings. It's easy to use and can be set to be very bright. The light can be placed in about any directions and it stays. Add to this that the wattage used by the LEDs is minimal, can't really get any better. While we don't have any use for the remote, it does work fine. It's cool as you can use it as "bragging rights" that it has a remote when other lights don't have one. It's a durable light and works great - get one!

The look of this lamp fits perfect in a new home. its sleek and the light is nice and configureable. You can choose different lighting options, faint, yellow, white, etc... Leaves open a lot of options.. One for dim nights as a permanent always on light to illuminate a path. Or you can select a brighter light for reading. Easy to set up and the best part was the rubber neck to adjust where and how the light projects on its target. Very well built, high quality and a great purchase.

Purchased to be used as a reading lamp. I love how small the tube is that holds the light. I don't have much room but that was not a problem with this light. It is super bright and the remote makes it easy to turn on and off as well as to adjust the brightness. It serves my needs perfectly. Excellent quality.

This lamp appears to be well made and delivers a nice quality of light. It was very easy and straightforward to assemble. Overall the remote control works well. I have discovered one quirk with the remote in that pressing the power button twice in quick succession will cause the light to revert back to its initial power up mode regardless of what power and color temperature setting the light was previously set to. I don't know if this is an undocumented feature or a bug. I am very pleased with the light overall.

Receive the lamp in a timely manner from Amazon after unpacking and assembly which took about five minutes the lamp is in good condition and seems to work on every aspect of all the different light settings the only downside is the height it is a little short but it will work, also the ability to switch to a desk lamp is very nice had an issue with the remote contacted the seller there quick response in resolving the issue was real quick, very nice lamp and puts out a decent amount of light will buy again.
