There are many different brands to chose from on Amazon, making it difficult to chose which one to buy. I settled on these because they were reasonably priced for the amount you received, they had high reviews and they are a U.S. based company. They specifically say that they are harvested from a tree farm in California. This is very important to me. I had previously ordered wooden bird feeders from Amazon that were made from a section of a tree where part of it was whittled out and a screen was attached where the bird seed could be eaten by the birds. When I received them, they had worm holes all over them. I then read from their site again on Amazon and realized they were made in China. I was truly shocked. This really disturbed me since I don’t want to introduce some type of tree disease or worm from China on my property. I was also stunned that the U.S. would even allow something like this to be imported here. I am so glad I purchased these and I was very impressed with the quality. They were all about the same size, they were a beautiful grain of wood and very flat and smooth since they obviously had been sanded perfectly. They also were a little thicker than I thought they would be and that was nice. We used them for our nieces and nephews to make and paint Christmas ornaments and they turned out so cute. Before I wrote this review, I looked at other customer’s reviews and I was surprised to see that some of the ones they had received had cracks in them. Mine did not and were perfect. It appears like this is a relatively new company and it seems like they have remedied this problem. If I had received mine this way, I would have definitely returned them. The only reason I marked this down a star is because a small piece of the bark easily came off two of the pieces when the kids were painting them. It was an easy fix with some wood glue. I noticed another reviewer also mentioned this and I am guessing that this is a problem with any brand that you purchase since these pieces would start drying out after they are removed from the tree. I definitely would purchase these again from this company, especially because it is a U.S. company and I know the tree pieces are harvested from the U.S. If the description does not say where they are harvested from, then I would not purchase them.

These wood slices are perfect for my resin wall hangings. I was worried about humidity making them crack but they have been perfect. I still have some and its been a year since I purchased them and theres still no cracking. I have bought them multiple times now since I love the product.

I thought they'd be smaller so I could use them for making ornaments. These are nice but they are coaster sized. I didn't return them...I will woodburn coaster sets with them.

I ordered these for a nursing home activities project. These arrived in good condition.
