Fellowes Climate Control Footrest (8030901)

I bought this life changing product the first time many, many years ago because I was working in an office where the engineer was a male person and being that male people have no idea when the temperature is FREEZING in an office (this is only known to female people), I had to do SOMETHING so I could work without dying of hyperthermia. This product is a cross between a footstool (good for my back when I'm sitting for hours) and a space heater and so not only does it warm the space under my desk, but it does it through my FEET which bliss out in happiness each time I use it. The unit emits not a quiet sound (but I like the "white" noise) as warm air puffs through the holes and on to the bottoms of my feet. Which is friggin' AMAZING. I bought this product a second time when the first one stopped working (but it had been so many, many years ago that I was okay buying it a second time). Now I use it in my HOME office where, as it turns out (and only because our heating bills are so obnoxiously high, I refuse to turn the temperature up more) I am also at risk of dying from hyperthermia. Fun fact: I think there were maybe 15 years between purchases and yet this product did not change when I bought it the second time. Same size, same shape, same color (black), same effectiveness. Same life changing properties. If I have to, I'll buy it a third time. :-)

I work in a cold office all day long and on those freezing winter days I am glad I have this. Not only does this foot rest keep me comfortable at my desk but it warms me up. There are three setting on this foot rest, fan,low and high. Most of the time I keep it on high and I am fine for a 8-10 shift that I work at my desk. I am about 5,2 and have had no problem with not getting this to a comfortable height that I can work and not have any issues. The legs are adjusable and you can set it at a hight that works for you. I keep socks at my desk and kick of my shoes put my socks on and I have warm legs all day long. I have had my foot rest for a year now and its still going strong. In the summer I use the cooling function and it works well. I would purchase another one in a heartbeat. This is not a space heater so your not going to get the same level of heat but again a pair of socks will make a world of difference! I am in my office about 60 plus hours a week so this has been a great addition to my desk to make me more comfortable.I think the price is right for what your getting.

It works as intended but is louder that my Vornado. Would be ok in a factory environment, but too loud in a quiet office setting. Small fans (5" or so) spin at high RPMs to move enough air and so is this one. If you do not mind the fan noise, you be happy with it. It is heating my feet well, except the noise i like it - but will get a fan-less next to compare. Although, such do not heat as good... so there you have it, one or the other but not both.

This is a very good product. It gives off the right amount of heat to keep you feet warm. It has 2 heat settings, the lowest one works great, the higher setting is good if you want to warm up quicker, but to maintain a comfortable amount of heat, it works best to then take it down a notch. The heat comes out in the center of the unit. The outside holes you see in the picture do not get hot, just the center, but that is great because if it gets to hot at any point, you can move your feet to the outside area, still using the foot rest and let you feet cool down. This may have been what they had in mind with the design of the unit. I use the unit either with bare feet or with socks, I have not used it with shoes on. The heat is forced hot air which is what I was looking for in a foot warmer. The ridges on the surface keep you feet from sliding off. When you first turn the unit on, it takes a few minutes for it to warm up, so if you do not feel heat the minute you turn it on,just give it a minute or two and you will feel plenty of heat, I think this a a great product, remember, it is a foot warm, not a space heater. The heat does not come up past your feet.

I started working from home and situated myself in the basement. During the winter months, the cold was making things uncomfortable and we generally like to keep the house on the cooler side so I opted for a foot warmer. There is an extreme lack of options, but I gave this one a shot. I didn't think the review about it being loud would bother me. It's minimum volume level is a laptop fan on death's door. It's pretty loud. The lower heat setting blows what is cool air to me. Not warm in the slightest. The high setting bounces between being too hot and shutting off from overheating the foot rest. When turning it on half the time the fan grinds on something internal until tapping the top lets it work without even more sound. The most annoying thing above all else is the awkward power switch location. I wish it was designed so it would be extremely easy to toggle options and power using your feet. The switch is often hard to find or flip unless your a toe gymnast. Overall wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this if their goal is heat, comfort, or something discrete on noise.

Home Business, for my computer desk. Keeps my feet warm and cozy with masssage.

L’idée de base est parfaite mais : 1) EXTRÈMEMENT BRUYANT!!! 2) Peu confortable si on est nu pied 3) Chauffe très peu même à haute temperature 4) Très cher pour le rendement Si ces points ci-haut étaient résolus ça vaudrait le prix mais dans les conditions présentes…. Je retourne le produit, très déçu!

Very nice ! It does what is says, a bit noisy when you are alone, but it does the work. Great !
