Morphy Richards 402061 Total Control Hand Blender, Grey

This stick blender is fantastic. It's not cordless so I don't have to hang around for hours waiting to charge it. It has a lead so just plug in and go. I bought it to make home-made mayonnaise and it works a treat. I would recommend this to anybody any time.

Happy with set, though think whisk could have been little bit stronger. Hav good said that good for cream abd eggs. Hand blebder easy to use abd stainless steel blades airer great in dishwasher.

Not as good quality as previous models of hand blender from Morphy Richards. Cheap feel and light weight. Reduced power compared to previous model.Have only been used for mixing shakes for two months and it has burnt out already and so I have had to raise warranty issue to replace.

Bought when on offer but would be worth the money if full price. Very impressive stick blender, easy to clean, useful accessories, impressive results, feels like a quality item when using for everything from mayonnaise, to soups and hummus. The jar that comes with it is also very useful, with a lid that becomes a non-slip base. Pleased to have found this.

During the winter, my wife and I cook soups for supper several times a week. In the past, we used hand blenders with plastic head attachments, but we found that they quickly become deformed when blending hot soup. We bought our first of these hand blenders four years ago and never had a problem with it until recently, when one of the small parts inside the attachment came loose due to many years of regular use. Unfortunately, Morphy Richards' doesn't do spares of the attachment for this hand blender, so we had to buy a complete new unit. However, given how much we use it and how long the original one lasted us, it was a no-brainer to buy the same unit again. It doesn't have any other attachments, but we'd use a jug blender/food processor for anything else anyway. Highly recommended.

Does everything very well

While a bit noisy I loved this, I even bought a 2nd one when the first broke, sadly the second one broke within six months. The actual body of the blender breaks where the blade attaches so when buying the 2nd i was careful when attaching. As I said the second one broke and I am now searching for one that is of better quality, wish they made it stronger, maybe they just want it to last a short time so you buy another as when it works it really is a good piece of kit and does everything you could ask of it, used it to make soup and it quickly mashes the veg, used it to whisk cream and does 600ml of double cream in a few minutes, just invaluable and i often find myself reaching for it. I have been looking at others and am tempted to go for one with holes in the side around the blade as I read it can be used to mash potatoes rather quickly, and who does not like silky smooth mash potatoes. I used the container to keep all the attachments and it takes up no space. Perfect design to stop most splattering, I paid 19 pounds for mine and do not know how they justify a price increase.
