I originally bought another brand of angle gauge, which turned out to be defective - I returned it and got this. First impressions are good. It comes with a carrying case, batteries, and a multi-language instruction booklet which is clear and easy to follow. The gauge itself feels well made - good surface finish, no spelling mistakes, and sturdy plastic. One other positive thing to note; the battery cover is held on by three screws, and those three screws screw into brass bushings, rather than directly into the plastic body. The display is bright and clear, although the numbers can jump around a bit if the surface is not rock solid. There’s a hold function to help with that though. Overall, leaving aside that the first unit was defective, this one seems better built and better value (it’s slightly cheaper, and the previous unit wasn’t supplied with either batteries or a case)

I've been using this for a week or so now, with a knife sharpening system. The positives are that the display is very clear, including the blacklight. It came with batteries and a pouch. So far, the accuracy seems very good. My only slight criticism is that in my use, I have to zero it out, and in doing so the button has a noticeable click. It's very very hard to do this without impacting on the angle. Quite often after zeroing I will be left with something like 0.02 or 3. Its not a huge deal as you can just add this onto the desired angle, but it is an annoyance. The magnetic base is also useful.

Probably like most people I bought this to help set up the angles on my saw blade etc. It's quite compact , the display lights up so it's easy to read , comes with a soft case and the magnetic base works well. There are functions on this that I will not use but when used for setting angles on my mitre saw I like the fact that you can set it to 0 first. The table my saw sits on is not level neither is the floor. It's not a permanent fixture the table that is, as space is tight so I can now set the datum angle of the table to 0 and then set the blade angle to whatever I need. The major problem I have with this is like another reviewer I'm now frustrated that the shelves in my workshop are not level to 100 th of a degree. Overall it's easy to use but you will find yourself spending more time setting up to get it spot on. It will become a matter of pride.

Mine works amazing. This is really accurate as far as I'm concerned and you can reference it to start at any level from zero which is great if your bench is out and you want certain degrees from any job your working on. It comes in a tidy little case as well,it's magnetic and the display is very clear. It's a great price for a decent level in my opinion,I highly recommend it. I'm really happy with mine. Thanks !!!

A good quality product that does what it should. Bought an inferior (cheaper) type and it was no good at all. Switched to this unit and it reads very accurately. Slap it on the table saw, set to zero, attach to the saw blade and tilt to the correct angle. Seems to give good results. Fast delivery, battery included, rugged design with nice case to keep it in.

Large clear display with backlight makes this very easy to use, much faster and more accurate than a spirit level. I purchased for setting blade angle on a bench saw but haven't used it for that yet but have tested it on various bookshelves, picture frame, kitchen worktops etc. As with all these devices repeatability of the measurement is not great and although the device reports angles to 2 decimal places I wouldn't rely on it to measure to less than 0.1 degrees...but thats plenty good enough for me.

a 12 month warranty came with this product and only used it may be a maximum of 10 times. Very early on the digits became hard to read but for what i was using it for not a real problem, replaced the batteries but makes no difference. Not used it for about 6 months and the digits now practically unreadable, more than practically as most of the LCD crystals do not show anything at all. May be i am just unlucky. To summaries when it was working a good product that one can carry round in ones pocket. Right now just another paper weight. Pictures taken with new alkaline batteries in the level. First picture on a level surface, second at a slight angle.

it's difficult to zero an angle because it doesn't show a negative sign and positive sign, but a small stripe with angle which is difficult to see. The indicator signal is also a bit nervous.. after using this, i prefer to use a simple liquid angle meter...

The construction is solid and the battery compartment cover is held with screws that engage with threaded brass inserts in the unit - a good first impression of quality. Also the three screws are captive within the cover so unlikely to get lost. The unit is well packaged but it was a bit shocking to find the photo on the box was of an orange/red unit - luckily though the product was the blue version I had wanted. The included black textile cover is a good fit and also well made. An instruction manual is included. The device has worked well as described. It was bought to quickly find possible locations for two satellite antennas at a new site. Other future uses can be envisioned. I am satisfied with the product.
