Agave Americana - Blue Agave - 2 Plants in Big Size

There’s a lot of bad reviews for this but I have to say it worked out great for me. Yes they are small the reference photo of the big ones are only showing you what they will look like eventually. I lived in Austin Texas for a few years and bought an Agave while there. It was probably $29 for a 14” tall plant. So what I’m trying to say here is that this is a good deal. If you got a plant that is bad it’s probably due to USPS or something. I live in Maryland now and have a unique house that has a solarium, these should take off in a while and look great! On August 18 I ordered from penitasnursery four blue agave Americana plants which were advertised as “plants in big size” with a picture of a large agave in the vendor’s ad. It was supposed to arrive by August 28. Instead I received successive messages that reported that the order would arrive on the first, then the second, then the fourth of September. The plants arrived on the fifth of September. Instead plants in “big size”, penitas sent four quite small extremely unhealthy looking dry plants. These were the sorriest plants I have seen a vendor send. I would not have bought them had I seen them first. So the advertising of big plants was deceptive, as penitas sent small plants that looked nothing like the advertisement. Those plants were in very bad shape. And they arrived a week later than they were supposed to arrive. Unfortunately I did not check the reviews for the vendor, as other customers have also felt they were misled as to the size and appearance of the plants they purchased. Penitas should be ashamed and reprimanded for how badly they treated living plants, and for how they misled their customer.

Possibly good for the price. Put them in small planter outside in full sun. Thrived without care. Starting to look stronger. Finally turned blue. Will transplant them to a bigger pot or try a protected spot on the ground..

I bought two plants. They were supposed to be 8"-12". Both were smaller than that. One plant is really in nice shape, the other came with broken appendages. They seem healthy but I am disappointed how best up the one is. I will try to rehab it.

Product as described, it was a late shipping from seller and a delay from the carrier other than that great product.

Delivered fast - they were small and dry, wasn't sure they would live; however they are growing fast and are beautiful

Absolutely not what the picture depicted at all, this piece arrived very damaged with several of the tips being completely broken off. Product was only two and a Product was only 2 1/2 inches tall. The nicest thing about the product was its root structure. Not the healthiness of selection to be delivered. Overall more than likely find another source next time I’m ready to spend $30 on a cactus.
