From the manufacturer High Performance Windshield Washer Fluid Super Concentrated Kristall Klar is a high performance windshield washer fluid that was originally developed for leading European vehicle manufacturers. With a formula that is now 1:200, the 8.5 oz bottle will make over 12 gallons of highly effective cleaning fluid! The ammonia-free, highly concentrated formula cuts through all the things that make up road grime including brake dust, oil and dirt. Bugs are no match either. Will reduce bug splatter significantly with just a few sprays. No Smearing. No Glare. Leaves a crystal clear smear-free, glare-free finish. Kristall Klar doesn't leave white residue on your paint. Quiets Wipers, Reduces Clogging of Spray Jets Why not just use plain water? Water by itself risks clogging spray jets with hard water minerals which can also prematurely damage the water pump. The softeners and lubricants in Kristall Klar also reduce premature wear and tear of the windshield wipers. There's a reason why at the factory they use high performance washer fluid like Kristall Klar and not just water. How To Mix Mix 1 oz (squeeze bottle to fill measuring cup to top) with 1.5 gallons of regular tap water. Or fill measuring cup half way (.5 oz) with .75 gallons of regular tap water. Adjust ratio based on water hardness. If you use distilled or soft water, use less concentrate to avoid foaming and smearing. 8.5 oz bottle produces 12.75 gallons of windshield washer fluid. Features Super concentrated - makes over 12 gallons of windshield washer fluid Removes bug splatter and cuts through dirt and road grime with ease No smearing. No glare. Reduces wiper skipping and shuddering for smoother and more even cleaning Water softeners prevent hard water build up around spray jets Safe on plastic headlights Ammonia free Fantastic citrus scent comes through fresh air vents nextzett Kristall Klar Windshield Washer Fluid Concentrate is more than just a concentrated cleaning soap. Kristall Klar packs more features than the competition. The difference is clear. Winter Solution For winter anti freeze cleaning, we recommend using nextzett Anti Frost Windshield Washer Fluid winter formula (available November 2022) which has the same cleaning power of Kristall Klar but with de-icers and the ability to prevent re-icing. Review: Saving money using RO water - Making a summer blend of windshield washer fluid for about 16 cents a gallon. When using 0ppm RO filtered water from my Nu Aqua system, I can clean most messes on the windows/windshield with only a teaspoon (or two for really nasty baked on crud) of Kristall Klar per gallon of RO water. When buying a case, it's only 7.95 (with tax in my state) for a bottle of Kristall Klar, 1 teaspoon worth is just shy of $0.16 cents. Easily saving a $1.50 or more compared to buying a pre packaged Bug Wash from the store. Winter time is coming up so this and a gallon of RO water alone will easily freeze and turn to a chunk of ice. No problem, to start with add 20 percent of a type of alcohol, like 91 Isopropyl, to the mix and test it either outside on the coldest winter night or in a freezer set to at least 20 below F if you can (colder if you need a lower freeze point). If the 20 percent ISO mix freezes, add more ISO to the mix until it stays a fluid even in the coldest temps. Keep in mind most alcohols like ISO will easily evaporate when the temperature is above freezing (altitude also effects evaporation/boiling points), so you may have to replace any ISO that evaporates during a warm day in the winter months. A 2 quart pack of 91 ISO can usually be found at Sams for cheap so making a Winter blend of washer fluid can still be under 1.50 a gallon depending on local temperatures in the winter. Around here winter blends normally cost 2.99 (on sale) to 3.99 a gallon. Review: Cleans the windshield very well and has a nice smell - This product came highly recommended to me by my mechanic. So, I gave it a shot. I am very glad to have followed my mechanic’s suggestion. It cleans the windshield very well and gives off a nice smell when you use it.
