We have seen a big improvement in our 15-year-old dog who has been sundowning due to canine cognitive decline. He has ceased pacing during the evening hours, and is restful and calm. ***Update: the melatonin and ligans seemed to help initially, but as Cushings progressed her symptoms became much worse and she could not control her urination which was disgusting and miserable. We finally had her tested for Cushings and it was confirmed she had it so put her on Vetoryl and it has been life changing! I wish I would have just spent the money to get her tested when the vet said she suspected she had Cushings. Let me start at the beginning. I have a 12 year old Weimaraner that had so many neurotic issues arising. She was constantly barking for more food and water, eating dirt and the rusty bottom of our grill, licking herself incessantly, licking furniture and wetting the bed at night. I was frustrated with her to say the least. I took her to the vet and the vet told me she thinks my dog has Cushing’s disease. After reviewing the way to diagnose and treat this at the vet it was going to be expensive so I decided to do some research. I found several things that said Melatonin in combination with Lignans daily have resolved many Cushing’s symptoms in dogs so thought I’d give it a try. I am so glad I did! We are about 11 weeks into the Melatonin and Lignans and she is completely symptom free most days. She will have a day or 2 here and there where the neurotic behavior comes back for a short time, but I’m confident as long as I keep her on it things will continue to improve. I didn’t notice much improvement starting until about 7 or 8 weeks in so give it time to work.

The product is probably great but my dog wouldn’t take them.

My pups love this pill, eat it right up. They love the sent. The calming effect seems to get them calm for bed. Best flavor and apparently is what they love. I’ve bought several times already and it’s a good value for the money.

Did not work for my dog. She developed hives all over her body within 48 hours after giving her the melatonin. The pictures are 48 hours after stopping the melatonin and courses of Benadryl. Hives were much worse but easing with withdraw of the melatonin. I wish it had worked for her. I had high hopes from other positive reviews as we are dealing with trying to ease mild hair thinning/loss due to color dilution alopecia but something didn’t jive. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that the product is returnable which I understand. Super bummed with our experience. Glad it seems to works for other folks though.

This stuff has been a lifesaver for my 16 year old dog with some cognitive decline. She tends to whine incessantly at bedtime. I give her one of these with some of her calming peanut butter and she's asleep in 10 minutes. I will never be without it! I highly recommend it.

Well, my dog always liked taking these and savagely ate one anytime he was offered. I’ve always been unsure if they actually help him sleep or make him drowsy. Yesterday, he had access to the bottle when I was out, and he somehow managed to get off the twist cap and he ate 100 of these pills. After an incredibly anxious night of not knowing if he would survive this overdose, I am here to say that the 100 pills had no effect on him whatsoever. Be warned.

The dogs love the flavor! I just lay the dose on the floor and they gobble it up like any other treat. It has allowed my some peace from my velcro dog at night or during fireworks. It generally works within a 1/2 hour. I have use Melatonin to help my children sleep, but I didn't know there was a formula for dogs. The human melatonin that can be harmful to the pet due to some of it's ingredients.

My senior JRT has dementia (and is also deaf and blind) and his sundowning was getting really bad. He was pacing, crying, and was really unsettled for hours in the evening. As other things have not helped him in the past, I was a bit skeptical with these but wanted to try and I’m glad I did! He is so much more settled in the evenings. He still barks at the doors occasionally, but he’s not pacing or crying which is such a relief. Don’t be put off by reviews saying it didn’t work for their dog, because it might work for you!

This has helped my staffy in so many different ways. It's doesn't just help with anxiety but his coat is looking so healthy.
