Threw me for a loop
I am in love with these authors and again they surprised me with this one. I have so many questions and I will never get the answers I need. I guess thats the point right. Another page turner. At first I felt bad for Drayton but that changed quick. I figured the book was her diary. I could never allow anyone to read my diary. I know I am late with this one but its an amazing read. As always they did it again.

AMAZING read! You will LOVE!
WOW, I just finished the book and I'm in SHOCK! Let me sum it up real quick w/o giving the story away. Remy Morgan comes from a terrible background and has it rough from the very beginning. After meeting a guy that she thinks will help her and make her life better, she soon finds out that he ain't shiit. After being put on the streets again, in no time, via of illegal work, Remy finally finds the REAL love of her life and immediately becomes a rich wifey and Street Diva. With this man she's in love and life is perfect, no worries. But unfortunately after tragedy strikes, poor Remy is put on the streets once again. Back to square one. While trying to make it on the mean streets of Flint like she's done so many times before, she re-meets an old friend and they gradually fall in love after she proved to him in a "hold you down" way that she was a loyal chick. This is it, finally Remy's life is stable and she can truly be happy. But then she dies, and her man reads her diary (he's reading it throughout this whole book) which she ended the same day of her untimely death. Ya'll ain't gone believe who murdered Remy and why! Amazing read, 5/5!

Untold Anecdote
Once upon a time not long ago there lived a little girl in Flint, Michigan by the name of Remy Morgan. Without help she was powerless and at an early age she was not use to people being decent. Abandoned, betrayed, molested, assaulted, then plainly thrown away, this poor dysfunctional child was suffering. Jammed up with so much shame and embarrassment Remy becomes an easy target in search of independency. Drayton Cesar had nothing. His call from the streets came early on. A challenge he would proudly answer. `Get rich, or die tryin' because there was nothing or no one going to prevent Cease from getting what he wanted, money. Two lost souls are coupled through hardship. As they work on a plan to surviving the mean streets of Flint, Cesar and Remy begin to rely on their allegiance. Although painfully conflicted, they find they've somehow eased on down a platinum paved road of happily ever after. Have we come to the end of the road? Ashley JaQuavis sophomoric novel, DIARY OF A STREET DIVA is an attractive and entertaining read that saunters between the past and present where you are acquainted with in depth characters. In spite of that, insightful booklovers will be stagnant trying to reckon with the how, when and why.

Diaries, harmful or helpful?
The Diary of a Street Diva was a very good read. It will hold your attention from the very beginning and when you put it down it will definitely drew you back into the folds of the pages. This was a quick and enjoyable read for me. I must admit that I enjoyed the suspense and thought I had it all figured out, to find out that some things I was far from figuring out. This book is one of those books that starts from the end and tells the events that leads up to the ending...this can be a tricky technique for any author, however Ashley and JaQuavis pulled it off in a fantastic way. As a reader, I fell in love with the characters and went through their pain with them, cried with them, cringed with them, and rooted for them. I especially liked the way the lawyer tricked the jury, and heck me too.(LOL) I like the fact that two writers are writing this story with one voice. I give KUDOS to the authors and anticipate more of their writings. This a page turner for sure, you won't be disappointed at all.

Wow, Just...Wow
It is very rare that I write reviews no matter how good the product was, but this book has all of the elements of an excellent urban novel. As an aspiring author myself, this book unfolds the plot little by little, leaving the reader on the edge of seat...literally. I also loved the ease of transition from first person (Remy telling her story like she was reading her diary to you) to third person (Cease's battle with the courtrooms and his own flashbacks about Remy.) I love how the story was told, and I could not imagine how Remy survived through all that! However, the ending hit me like a ton of bricks. Let me tell you this, this book is FAR from predictable.
