If your existing trailer ball hitch receiver is janky, replace it with this.
On our small 5x8 trailer the receiver ball hitch was rusted and we had to hit it with a hammer to get it to lock. We got tired of this and started doing research expecting to pay an arm and a leg to replace it. We were pleasantly surprised at the price, the ease of installation, the quality compared to the ancient one we were removing. This item locks like butter.. no hammer needed! The alignment was perfect and no additional holes had to be drilled. One suggestion would be is to make sure you have grade 8 bolts/nuts or higher. Also, thread lock (red color) is highly suggested so no bolts back out while towing.

I built my own travel trailer and used this on the trailer frame I welded up. You can either use bolts (what I did) or weld it in place. I figured if I ever needed to change it out the bolts would be the easier option. After 2+ years and thousands of miles of towing my trailer, this has never failed me. No signs of wear/tear or rusting in all those miles. Easy to latch / unlatch with hole for keeper pin to make sure the latch stays closed while traveling or for a lock if leaving your trailer. I plan to build another travel trailer and will purchasing again.

This trailer coupler is good to go.
This trailer coupler was just what i needed to swap from 1-7/8" to 2" on my jet ski trailer. It was in good condition and seems to be well made. My old one was welded on but it didnt take long to have it off with a grinder. I put this on the tongue, drilled holes and had it bolted on in no time. Use existing holes if you have them or at least one. Good product 👌🏻
