Proven quality and BEST customer service on Amazon
Finding the right sofa required a lot of research on my part. But after a few days, I found EXACTLY what I wanted at a price I could afford. My best purchase on Amazon. This is my first sofa from HONBAY. Because of my short stature, I need a sofa with a shorter seat than most sofas. This HONBAY seat is 19.7, perfect! The cushions are extra sturdy, making it easy for me to get up. I’m 71 and need all the help I can get. The back cushions are sturdy and comfortable, giving your back support. Having the reversible lounge will be invaluable if you decide to rearrange your furniture. The most AMAZING feature (for me) is the storage ottoman. I make afghans and there’s always yarn all over my living room. Now I can put all the yarn for my current project in the ottoman. The fabric is soft and easy to clean. A small spill? just wipe it off. For larger spills, simply take the cushion covers off and throw them in the washing machine. If you have kids, this feature is priceless. And it’s sturdy enough for roughhousing. Do you continually hunt for your remotes? This sofa comes with a storage bag, kept in place by Velcro, over the arm. The nail-head trim gives it a polished look and adds richness to any décor. Unlike other product descriptions on Amazon, everything on the product details are 100% accurate. It is a company you can trust. It was incredibly easy to put together. I was able to do it myself and so can you. You don’t need to be an engineer or be able to read blueprints to put it together. They provide straight forward directions anyone can understand. Customer Service: Quite possibly the BEST ever, on any product, or from any business. There’s a small issue with a couple of cushions and the customer service representative was not only helpful but also very empathetic to my situation. Their response was fast, and their friendly service made me feel valued as a customer. The level of care and attention I received was unparalleled. I was treated with utmost respect and kindness, making my experience incredibly positive. Honbay products have proven they have excellent products and will stand by them, no matter the cost. They are a customer-oriented business, and I will continue to buy their merchandise.

Good value for price
I was a little hesitant to buy from Amazon but after looking at reviews and talking with family members who ordered from Amazon online I went ahead and ordered. Some reviews said the boxes came on different days but all 3 came on same day. I wasn’t happy that they didn’t deliver to my 3rd floor and since I was recovering from being sick it took me a while to get upstairs on my own. At first I could figure out how to put the sliding pieces together but after searching on YouTube I found a video. You have to lift the sofa part into it and not the arm part. Other than that it was easy to put together. The look of the sofa is accurate to online and overall I think it is comfortable. It is not as firm as I like on back cushions but my last expensive sofa was the same. I added my bed pillows I don’t use for right now until I can get some that I like for the sofa. I did fall asleep on it so that tells me it works. The cushions do still need to expand but still comfortable. I think pretty sturdy since I am 200+ pounds and it doesn’t move or make noises when I move or shift. I do agree that the plastic legs don’t really go with sofa but I can either paint them or buy new ones at a home improvement store. It works for now. Update 3/19 Still good sofa despite cushions a little flat. I used it a lot and I have not rotated the cushions. I sit on one side and that is a little flat but still good. I also added pillows to rest against or not enough padding for me when I sit at angle. My back of sofa not against wall and one side not against wall. I sit on side by wall. Don’t see or notice any bending. I have noticed that this is a low sofa and since I am older and weigh a lot sometimes hard to get up. I do want to say if you sit on the divider between cushions it is very hard, you need to sit exactly on cushions and it is comfortable. There is some shifting noises on arms when I lean if I sit too hard but seems to not be a problem.

Very good value
We moved into a new home in Feb 2020 and I have been looking for a couch for over a year. Furniture shopping during the pandemic has been frustrating, at best. Any couches that I have had my eye on advise that delivery would take 36+ weeks. Hard to swallow. I have a decent budget but didn't want to spend it on something that I didn't really love. This meant that we have had a queen-size blow-up mattress in our living room for going on 18 months. Not fun. My hubby suggested looking on Amazon for a cheap alternative. Much searching led me to this couch. Boxes 1/3 and 3/3 came a day earlier than predicted. I contacted the seller and got a response within hours that advised me that box 2/3 was scheduled for delivery the next day and they provided me with a tracking number. It did arrive as scheduled. Husband put together, says it was pretty easy. Cushions fluffed up almost immediately. For less than $600, including shipping, I feel it is a great buy. It really doesn't feel cheaply made. The material is a sort of very low pile chenille. I would describe the color as a medium shade of denim. So far, it is pretty comfy. Definitely not plush, but supportive and comfortable to hang out on and watch TV. It is a tad low to the ground. Pretty much as high as the ottoman. But not finding that to be a problem. Pictures are after one night. I will update after a few months. All in all, I know this isn't my 'forever' couch. It's our 'Covid' couch. If it lasts 6-12 months, long enough for the supply chains to restore themselves, I will be satisfied. And, customer service was admirable, as well.

Short Term Fix
I bought this almost 2 years ago (December 2019) and getting rid of it today. This is the first couch I ever purchased (everything else has been hand me downs). and a learning experience for what I do and don't like. Overall I think it was worth the money spent, because now I know better, ,but don't expect it to be good for long term, or heavy use. I am a couch potato, so I use my couch a lot. If you are a light user, then this is a great couch. If you sit on it for more than an hour or two a day expect problems. Tips: 1. it is very long. Even using the measurements and spacing it out in my room it was longer than I expected. Make sure you have the space to get around it. 2. As long as it is, it is very narrow! I normally sit length wise on the couch, so it wasn't a big deal, but if you sit facing out, and you have longer legs, keep this in mind. It might not be deep enough 3. The cushions flatten in the first sitting. And the boards are placed in just the wrong spot that you can feel them and it is not comfortable. I did get 2 inch foam to but under the cushions and that fixed most of the problems. I used a flat bed sheet that is about the same color to cover the foam to it blended (I do not have the skills to recover cushions). I just wrapped the foam in the sheet and put the cushions over it. That also made it easy to clean, just toss the sheet in the washer, recover, and good to go. 4. If you tend to sit in the same spot on the couch, then you will have to rotate the cushions often (about every two weeks for me). They do puff back up over time, but flatten quickly, I found rotating them helped a lot. Because of this I never used the velcro. I wanted to have them set in place before attaching them, then found I needed to rotate them often and I didn't want to damage the felt it attaches to. I never had an issue with the cushions sliding out of place. 5. The remote holder seemed useless to me, because I had this couch in a corner and so I could never get to it, but then I put it under the cushion and over the edge of the ottoman, and was perfect. Pros: It stayed clean. I have 4 cats and I didn't have an issue with pet hair sticking to it. I did have one corner get abused by scratching. I didn't have an issue with staining, and a cloth with some dish soap got most spots out. It went together easily, never had an issue with coming apart or pieces moving. The storage ottoman is great, and that piece I will keep to use elsewhere in the living room. It is extra seating when we have company and holds a lot. Cons: The one area that is impossible to clean is under the cushions. The felt (that hold the velcro on) is a crumb magnet and no amount of vacuuming got it clean. The sticky rollers would probably help, but I never tried it. Because the L piece of the couch doesn't attach in any way I could never use it as an L couch. That piece would slide with the slightest pressure. If you know you want it in one place you can probably use a drill and attach screws and a bolt to attach it where you want. Under the couch is very easy to get to, and this would probably be easy. It is not great for the back if you sit for long. I liked the look of the tilted arms and back, but I realized that it is not comfortable. This was a learning experience for me. Overall about a 3/5

Best value sectional around
This sectional couch was super easy to assemble--actually by far the easiest piece of furniture I've ever assembled. It also looks great and I think it's very comfortable. Some people saying too firm--definitely not too firm. The cushions are on the former side but definitely still very comfortable. I can lay down and sit in multiple positions very comfortably. Every sectional I've ever laid down on, I can always feel the hard wood frame where the sections come together--not so with this one. You can lay right across the top and stretch out with no wood planks in your hip or rib. Also, for reference, I'm 5'6" and I can fully lay across it and only take up 3 cushions. Also, I'm 195 lbs and this thing feels plenty able to support my weight. It arrived in 3 boxes over three days--so those of you saying you didn't receive the whole thing...you just need to wait a couple days, no big deal. The final box actually arrived almost a full week before the delivery window. I'm a huge fan of this couch already. Also, I assembled it alone and it was ridiculously easy. The only thing I can say about potential durability is that the legs are made of plastic and don't seem incredibly sturdy. But if I ever have to replace the legs, I'll still consider this couch a great value for the price. I got a 12 pack of 2.5 inch sq. felt lined leg cups to protect my hard wood and they fit perfectly. I really love this couch. So do my kids.

Couch is EASY TO assemble, However sitting on it is problematic.
Hey, so you're probably thinking this couch looks like a great deal! I thought the same. I purchased this couch recently, and had it arrive A DAY earlier than what amazon was showing for expected delivery ( which is great!). It took me an hour or two max to assemble, and the instruction manual was easy enough to follow. The instructions video, which was included in the manual helped me run through the assembly more efficiently. The couch is somewhat nice to sit on, however I do have two complaints/suggestions that future buyers who plan on purchasing this couch should keep in mind. 1. The couch sits a bit too low. This is something I somewhat expected from reading the other reviews, however if you're 5'8-5'9 or above, you will have to adjust the way you sit, because planting your feet on the ground will require proper posture with how low this couch sits from the cushion, to the ground. Makes sitting feel more formal, than casual. 2. The wooden separating bars underneath the cushions, can be felt on your tailbone. There are separating wooden bars, that divide each designated cushion evenly underneath the couches. This is extremely uncomfortable. I wish they would of assembled this mechanism different, to where those sitting on this couch could sit on each cushion easily, without worrying about hurting their tailbone from sitting on the wrong designated area the manufactures intended. I suggest placing the springs, over these bars instead. For those wondering, I counted three wooden bars total to be within this unit that separates each seat. Now with that said, let's move onto what I actually like about the couch. 1. The appearance, it's aesthetically pleasing to the eye. 2. It's comfortable enough to fall asleep on. I've managed to fall asleep on this couch twice now, since it's arrived so that's great. 3. It came with an ottoman, which is pretty neat. 4. The Price point, is appealing. 5. Easy to assemble. 6. The length of the couch is nice. It takes up plenty of space in that aspect. Overall, I would not recommend this couch for those who are 5'8-'59 or above. If they would of made the cushions sit a bit higher, and removed those wooden bars from blocking the seating area, I would feel like this couch was the perfect fit. I would return it, but I feel like that would be more of a hassle than actually ordering the unit. So you, there! Looking to furnish your brand new house/apartment? Or maybe you're just trying to replace an old couch in your existing home; Keep looking. This couch's price point is appealing, but you're compromising for overall comfort. So ask yourself, are you into purchasing a couch that just looks good, or do you want to actually sit on it someday, and be able to lounge? I think the answer is obvious. Edit: I replaced the legs for the couch with wooden ones, so the couch sits higher. It's better now, but still buying 12 sets of legs costed nearly an extra $100 to resolve the proper foot placement for average height males. Update 04/10/2020: I noticed the tufting for the pillows, where the little two indents that make the pillow look stylish has started to come loose, after a little over a month and a few days. I've been moderately using this couch, so the fact that this has happened so soon is a red flag. I contacted the seller, and they are sending me two new pillows for the two pillows that have lost their tufting. I will update the review if I notice anymore changes. Also after carefully analyzing I've realized what has also contributed to this couch being so uncomfortable. It's the backside of it. It does not offer proper shoulder/head support for the upper body. What I mean by this is, the pillows for the back, for which one can lean back on, sits higher than the actual back frame of the couch. This is not a couch that you can lean your head back comfortably on full body wise with proper, comfortable support. If you have the funds, I'd recommend investing just a little bit more money into something more well-built, and comfortable. Especially if you don't plan on putting this couch up against a wall, as a substitute for back support. Also the seats are extremely shallow, causing the person sitting to have to re-adjust constantly. UPDATE 06/18/2020: I've decided to get rid of this couch, and just buy a brand new one off amazon from one of their stone and beam selections. I wish the best of luck to those who do choose this couch in the future.

Extremely Happy with this sofa!
We are extremely happy with the purchase of this sofa, if fits perfectly in our smaller living room and it is comfortable. It was very easy to put together and we love that the chaise can be moved around or turned into an ottoman. The only downside to this purchase was FedEx being used to deliver. We have had nothing but issues with FedEx and they were supposed to deliver the sofa to our house on the 9th, we didn't receive the sofa until yesterday, March 14, 2023. FedEx never once tried to deliver the sofa to our house prior to yesterday despite them having the sofa in their possession and despite them stating on several occasions that they tried, when we were home all day waiting for the sofa to come everyday and no one showed up. When we reached out to the seller of the sofa regarding FedEx they were wonderful and very responsive and apologetic about FedEx not delivering the sofa like they were supposed to. All in all I would recommend this sofa to anyone who needs a good sofa for a smaller space, I hope the company moves away from using FedEx as the shipping carrier especially after seeing we are not the only people who have had issues with FedEx.

It’s worth it!
So I was very skeptical buying a couch off amazon. I read about every review on this couch before taking a chance and buying it. It was expected to arrive between Aug 3rd-10th and it came on July 27th and all 3 boxes came on the same day at the same time by FedEx. So shipping was alright. Assembly was very easy. I’m 7 months pregnant and basically put the whole thing together by myself (just had help tipping it over after putting legs on because it is pretty heavy) The instructions were very straight forward and no items were missing. The cushions def need a day to fluff up but they are pretty decent comfort wise. Firm enough that you don’t sink in to where you can’t get out but soft enough to get comfy. The L shaped ottoman is a little short my feet do hang off. But the couch is long so I have plenty of room to lay across it well someone can still sit on the other side without touching. It’s a nice looking couch it doesn’t look cheap and it really looks nice in my living room I like it a lot! My only complaint is that I wish the depth of the seat was a bit wider .. I am 7 months preggo so I need extra room right now but that won’t be an issue forever! I think for the price and the quick delivery and easy set up it’s def worth it. I’m 26 years old and this is my first new couch I’ve ever bought I’ve only ever had used couches so for me this is a very nice couch and I’m happy with it but if your used to high quality big expensive couches I could see why you’d maybe have complaints but for me and my little family it’s a perfect starter couch for our starter home. I would def recommend! I’ll edit if I find any other issues in the future!
