I love Pony-0 ponytail holders. I have used them for years. They do not leave a “crimp” in your hair after cinching it up or pulling it back. They flatten for easy storage and transport. They grip your hair firmly enough to hold it in place without breaking or pulling on it. It is great they are now available on Amazon.

I have fine hair and worried this might not work for me......but I love it. I find I don't need clips to hold the side of my hair and that it doesn't pull my hair tight like most hair bands do. It holds it exactly as you want it. Great product. I'm buying more colors. Oh!....Did I mention how easy it is to pull your hair through it when it's round? It flattens with little pressure and I fold both sides under to make sure it stays in place.

Sadly this did not work for my curls 2c 3a, maybe for someone with straight hair and less amount of hair than I have? It is very hard to get all my hair into the pony o and when I do manage to do it (if curls are already formed they frizz out since I have to cram them into the non expandable pony o) the pony o is not able to set as shown in the instructions/it won't bend over itself . So it just doesn't hold still and ends in a weird angle not like in the pictures. So this item gave me a sloppy/worse than a regular elastic band. So sad

I have fine hair, so it's not in the thick side, and it's also smoother. This didn't work for my hair type. In theory this sounds great, and looks great in images and video clips. However, real life practices not-so-much. First off getting my hair INTO the Pony-O was not easy.since the product is hard and not really maleable in all directions (aka stretchy to open); once hair was in it and I flattened it as instructed I lost the tighter pull that would keep my hair out of my face; then it didn't stay upright when I rounded the sides (as instructed), and during activities like working out in a gym it just kept sliding farther and fwrher down my head. It works a tad bit better for half ponytails, and works also if the Pony-O is rightat thr crown or your head. All in all, I give this 1 out of 5 since it doesn't even hold the hair. Unfortunately, it wasn't an Amazon direct purchase so the return is not simple, and simply not worth the hassle. I haven't used them since the first few times.
