Great boat project material
Bought to replace a mount for a gas strut in our sailboat cockpit locker. The original 10 year old one had broken because the mounting bolt holes were drilled much too close to the edge. Made a new mount with the bolt holes better placed and expect this to last much longer. Starboard is easy to work with using woodworking tools. Tough, resistant to salt water and quite easy to make a really neat part.

Not quite 12" x 12"
Arrived in good condition but it is not 12x12, it is 11 7/8 inches square. Unfortunately I needed the full 12 inches so it is unusable for me.
