Can they be used at shooting range

I have used them on an outdoor range with an extremely loud SBR 556 rifle and they did an excellent job reducing decibels, I can't comment on indoor ranges, but they should do just fine indoor or outdoor

Have you worn these with the clear armour 140001 ear muffs over them? Were they comfortable?

No problem. The EP10 feel very similar to regular foam ear plugs but with a denser, tighter fitting foam. So if you feel comfortable wearing ear muffs over regular foam ear plugs, you'll have no problem with these.

What is the difference between ep10 sonic defenders ultra max and ep7 sonic defenders ultra ?

The EP7s Have what I call the “flippy doors” (shurefire calls “filter caps) which you can see in the product images. Red for right, clear for left (all color options). With the cap closed, I believe the NRR is the same as the EP10 (28dB) and with them open the packaging lists 14dB reduction. The EP10s do not have the cap, there is just a plug in its place.

will they work with a two way radio?

Probably not. They block out sound, so how can you hear your two-way radio when the outside world is for the most part blocked out? One solution would be to use earmuffs that plug into your two-way radio. Wear the muffs over your ears. Loosen the Defenders from your ears so that you can now hear the radio. You have the benefit of double-plugging, too.
