COOSPIDER Aquarium Filter with 5W U-V Light 264GPH for 20-75 Gallon Tank

My turtle has a large aquarium and a huge pond canister filter on it to accommodate the waste however, we still had a major algae bloom where his water was super green and I did not want to spend all the money that the green killing machine costs for his size aquarium so this Sterilizer is fantastic it had the water cleared in about 7 to 14 days which may be a slower than the more expensive machines, but it still got the job done completely and his water has not gone back to Green since; you can turn the UV light feature on and off, which is very convenient. I’ve had no issues with the machine itself thus far and I would recommend for the cost and the effectiveness.

Worked well for a few months. Quit working now I’m kinda screwed with my tank. These have a 1 year warranty. Amazon says they won’t do anything with a warranty. The company itself doesn’t respond to the chat on their site or emails. Kinda scammy.

Great for the money. I have a 55 gal turtle tank and this filter works great. I got the 75-200g filter which is more than what I need but I prefer a filter that cycles the water at a higher rate because he’s not a fish. He’s a 7 inch turtlebuttt. Now, when you buy this filter, you should not expect this to be your last filter because the media is not replaceable. This is a disposable filter so you should treat it as such. Ab.u.se it for a few months and replace it often. I also have a sump filter which is hell to clean and replacing the medium is costly because I replace all the hoses, uv light and seals on it. This takes about 4-5 hrs. I would rather keep buying disposable filters that I don’t have to maintain because I can maintain good water quality (turtle husbandry) without the fuss. This picture shows how clogged it is after 45 days and a partial water change & syphoning. Look how clean the water is! I have a few live plants that turtlebuttt chews on so lots or organic matter is stuck in my filter. I just ordered a new one today. It’s very quiet and I love the air bubble valve. Turtlebutt likes the bubbles. His name is Mike Phelps but I call him turtlebutt.

coming up on 30 days or use, will be returning, pump is getting louder, and the plug for the second flow port will not stay in. Also if you are short on plugs please know that is requires to plugs one for the uv light and one for the filter pump. Not worth the money as a primary filter. Also taking it apart to clean is a challenge as is putting back together. You have to keep cords in little channels and then line up little plastic tabs to click back in and plastic is thin and doesn't feel very durable.

I had a problem with the filter after I cleaned it for the first time. I contacted the manufacturer, and they answered my email the next day. After exchanging some information, they offered to replace the filter at no cost. I haven't come across such great customer service in ages. With the customer service and the way the filter cleans and the fun my turtle has playing in the bubbles, is why I'm writing this review and giving and five star review.

Had this a month now and algae has started to grow. I tried to return it but of course it’s a day past return window. Don’t buy. It doesn’t work. Also, the power cables are way too short.

I have tried multiple filters for my red eared slider tank and this is by far the best!!!
