Explode the Code 1-8 Books SET (Essential Lessons for Phonics Mastery)

Homeschool spelling for the win. I really enjoyed this series of books. My kids also enjoyed it. They never complained. We do a four day school week so they completed two pages per day. Great practice for any student!

Only on book 2 but my child (7 years old) loves it. Getting a child excited to read and challenge themselves is the best part about this program. Our oldest child had no issues with learning to read and everything came easily and early. Our youngest child is a polar opposite and has struggled with every aspect of school. So far I am totally impressed with these books and am excited for the future. My youngest son has been able to piece together his lessons in school with the fundamentals structured in Explode the Code. This was recommended by a friend and feel fortunate to have this available to struggling parents

My 6 year old wasn’t interested AT ALL in reading. He was super frustrated and gave up immediately when I tried to read with him. Tried these and WOW what a difference. It starts from step 1 and is so methodical. We did 1, 2, 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, and 4. We do 3-5 pages a night. Each book is about 100 pages. He’s reading at this point. It’s amazing! He can read words he doesn’t know. Even I (with an MBA) learned some tricks i didn’t even know! He tells me he’s the best reader in his class. This is an amazing product! My only con is that many words and pictures refer to words kids don’t know or use today. But, it still works! Can’t wait to see how well he’s reading after we finish the 2nd half of the series!

I’ve been buying these books for 7 years for kid after kid after kid after kid for our homeschool program. It aids in their reading and writing skills and is easy and fun. My daughter even takes it a step further and colors the images on the pages. Highly recommend.

My grandchildren look forward to phonics every day because these books make learning easy and fun.

As a retired teacher I have used this with my students and I wanted a set to use with my grandson. It gives excellent practice.

Dont make my mistake its a good program but buy the package that includes everything the books, 1/2 books and the teachers books- now I have to buy all seperately the- I assumed this was open and go because it is advertised that way- to do this properly you need the teachers guide- whichbis not included here- it is a book of worksheets no lessons no explanations.

Täglich zwei Seiten überfordern meinen 5 Jährigen Sohn nicht und er kommt gut vorran. Dazu muss ich sagen, dass mein Kinder zweisprachig aufwachsen! So etwas hätte ich auch gerne für das Deutsche!
