Great update to my cafe lamp added a layer of elegance I think my husband painted it the color of my walls and trim

I read the reviews before I purchased and I can definitely confirm this is a cheaply made product , BUT it’s still beautiful. It does gap on the sides but for what it is I don’t think it’s a big deal. You could definitely take some time to make it look snug but it’s not a deal breaker. If you are looking for something that elevates your fan or ceiling light at a great price then this is it! We did take our light down to install.

A lot of these reviews seemed to buy the unfinished version and are dissatisfied with the fact that they look cheap. I feel like I would expect that, they look, as described, "unfinished". I bought two of them to put under small chandeliers in my hallway and I painted them metallic gold. I absolutely love them. For the most part, the chandelier held them flush to the wall but I may try to put a little bit of adhesive on the edges for the spots that left a small gap. I was given one of the $80 fancy medallions for another part of my house and I thought these were a lot easier to install BECAUSE they are the thin plastic. Overall, I'm extremely thrilled with these and I've had lots of compliments on the light fixtures with them. My advice if you're planning to purchase these: do not leave them unpainted and consider an additional adhesive.

These are a lightweight plastic, very thin, there’s no way to secure them to the ceiling, because there’s nothing to glue or put a nail to, it’s hollow. So one side touches the ceiling, the other side will be hanging down half an inch. Very poor quality

Great for the price! I ordered two to place over the chandeliers over our kitchen island. They arrived on time, well packed and undamaged. I was very disappointed as to how very thin and flimsy they actually are. However, I was extremely surprised and impressed at just how beautiful they looked after installation!! - My husband used power grab latex adhesive to secure them to the ceiling, then applied masking tape to all the corners just to keep it extra secure while adhesive dried overnight. He removed the masking tape the next day and sealed the edges with chaulking. They turned out so beautiful! I love them! In fact I ordered two more to use in other rooms. Such a great price compared to others. It just goes to show that even while on a budget you don’t have to compromise great style and taste!!

It's a very cheap this plastic. I thought it would be a little better quality then it is. It's kind of like the plastic Halloween wall decore. It's look pretty spray painted and on the ceiling. But I'm not sure how long it will last. In my opinion $15 is to much for how cheap this material is. Something to consider before getting this is that the outer lip is very thin. If your ceiling like mine is not completely flat this piece will not sit flat and with the lip being so thin there is no way to glue or attach the edge to the ceiling.

Yes it's plastic but once it's up you don't really notice it.. Unless your Eagle Eyes....lol I didn't have to glue mine or put anything else through it like nails or screws... Your actual Chandelier will hold it up so it worked out perfectly for me and the gentleman that was doing my Chandelier he just used it as a base and then pull the cords through and hooked up the chandelier and it just held itself up because I think if you were to put a nail through it it would crack it... Suggestion: I would pre-drill it if you're one of those people that are putting it on wood with the smallest drill bit possible and then put your tiny screw through it that would be my suggestion but if it's not going on wood I would just put it up the way that I did.. But it's very very pretty I love this piece I plan on buying a couple other ones.... Good luck to those of you that are buying this piece cuz it really does make the room... I feel it just ties it all together...
