It Works and it Work Great!!!
Had I known this was all I needed to cool my AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X Processor, I would have purchased it first before wasting my time going through three watercoolers. Only using the three front fans that came with my Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Mid-Tower ATX PC Case. Running Temps are 53 degrees idled and Max 73 degrees under heavy load. Average Temp is 65 degrees. The most important thing is that it is quiet and the temps are under control. I will add a rear fan as soon as they are available. It will be the same fan as the one used on the front of the case. The system looks beautiful with the Cooler Master AMD Wraith Ripper head showing right at the glass of the case. Note: I just recently moved my equipment out of an older case and into the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Mid-Tower ATX PC Case, adding the Cooler Master AMD Wraith Ripper Cooler in the process. I am happy to get away from the watercooler. What a difference!

A monster heatsink for a Monster CPU
I bought this because it had 15% more maximum airflow and more than twice the surface area of my Noctua Heatsink. The noctua heatsink I was using had a surface area of 6000CM^2 This heatsink has a surface area of 13,134CM^2 which is a huge improvement over the noctua. The CPU can be a little snug when going into the motherboard. if you have an MSI x399 pro carbon or meg you might find that the heatsink rubs up against the VRM heatsink. I have bench tested any implications of this and can say that it does not negatively affect the VRM in terms of thermals. however it will also obscure the 4 RAM slots closest to the CPU so make sure you insert those first otherwise you will have to re-seat this heatsink to put anything in them. my old Noctua NH-U14S TR4-SP3 would keep my CPU cool idle at 28c average and 58c under full load. The cooler master Wraith ripper gives you idle average of 29c and 48c under full load. I imagine the one degree of difference in idle is because its making contact with the VRM however it noticeably keeps the CPU cooler under max loads than the noctua does. Edit: I should mention this is being used with a threadripper 1950X, woops UPDATE: 11/15/2018 I was getting some abnormal temperature fluctuations so i did some investigating as to why. what i found is that the fan was inserted BACKWARDS at the factory meaning that it was fighting the airflow of my case. after fixing the orientation of the fan my idle temp went down from 29c to 24c which is a huge difference. My max temps appear to be stable now as well. It took me an hour to properly disassembly the heatsink without damaging it. (the adhesive keeping the silicone bracers on for the mounting screws is reusable, dont be afraid to press on the mounting screws to detach them from the shroud with something like a screwdriver. (yes i said the screws not the silicone bracers) The adhesive will re-attach to the shroud once you screw it back in just fine.

Very good CPU cooler, be warned of massive size
This thing is great. for my first Computer build, it was really easy to attach and get running. the only main gripe I got with this thing is that its massive. so just preplan accordingly, depending on the motherboard it may not allow certain slots of RAM to be used due to its size. While it is a little loud, it keeps my 2970x Threadripper at a snug 25-30C. This is a good buy for people looking to build a massive computer. not recommended to use with small builds.

Neat looking and decent performance threadripper cooler hampered by bad design and QC
When I built my threadripper system this was my first choice to cool the cpu (the 2920x in my case). It is bigger than I imagined and can cause issues if your RAM sticks are too high. It came with the thermal paste pre-applied and the mounting system was the easiest I have ever used. However I noticed the fan was blowing air in reverse (evidently a common occurence) and it was so big that it pushed against my top slot graphics card. My motherboard is the Asrock x399 Taichi. For those who like all the neat lighting tricks this cooler has them in spades, but I don't so I turned them off. I decided to send it back and get the Noctua NH-U14S TR4-SP3 while though much less attractive and harder to install it did fit much better due to it's adjustability with mounting (the Wraith ripper was fixed), had a more silent and powerful fan, and cooled the cpu better.

So worth it
Definitely need to watch your clearance with this big boy as my sticks closest to my CPU and with it the Wraith Ripper cannot be taken off without having to take off the Wraith Ripper. Other than that this thing seats very easily on my ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme mobo and I have no issues with cooling even under load it sits at about 35 degrees with numerous programs and applications open as well as numerous browsers open while listening to music and the temp doesn't move. You do want to make sure you get a good covering of thermal paste (of your choosing, not going to advertise or get into a debate about paste in here) on as it comes with some pre-installed before seating onto you CPU. RGB lights right up once you power your system up.

Best option at this time
In my original build I used an enermax radiator cooler - which died from internal corrosion before its first anniversary. When I researched possible alternatives, I found the Wraith Ripper. It's not going to work for everyone, because it's huge. My build uses a Corsair graphite 780t case, Gigabyte Aorus x399 gaming 7 M/B with Gskill Trident Z RAM. It does fit nicely, but I did have to move my GPU down to the 2nd slot. The other problem is that for some reason they installed the fan flowing back to front. Instead of voiding the warranty by opening it up, I changed the rest of my case fans to flow the same direction. This resulted in idle temps averaging 25c and stress highs from 58-62c. The two best features are the total customizing of the rgb lighting, and the fact that you do not have to pull your motherboard to add a support plate on the back for mounting. It literally took 3 minutes to install this cooler. You should also note that it requires an open usb header for the lighting, and is powered by a sata connector.

Excelente disipador, bastante grande pero mantiene buena temperatura por debajo de los 60° C y además con un diseño bastante elegante, sin duda de lo mejor.

Yes, this is a custom made cooler for the AMD Ryzen ThreadRipper (TR4). So, it is HUGE but super quiet... at idle it hits around 27-32 degrees and at load ~56 - 60 degrees on average... The LED lights are a little overkill but it has nice management options (all on custom software). My two beefs are: the pre-applied thermal paste ( you have to be really careful with it.) and the fact that it takes one full USB 2 slot on the motherboard. So, this might force you to buy a spare hub if you have more things to plug into the mobo (more LED lights, liquid coolers?) etc...

A few things about this tower cooler: 1: it's the most beautiful tower cooler I've ever seen. 2: keeps my CPU at a perfect temp at all times! 3: the quietest tower cooler I've ever seen! 4: worth every penny, pick this up if you've got a shiny new Threadripper on the way!
