Fitted my dyson v6 animal perfectly. No issues so far.

Bought this as the Dyson handheld I had, was just the small version. Paid for this and its proven to be so helpful. We use the handheld Dyson more now and saves the bending over.

A suitable replacement part which functions as it should.

We bought a handheld Dyson last year primarily for cleaning the car, but following an injury purchased this tube as the Dyson is much lighter to carry. Very pleased with the extra functionality and quality of thus product.

Suction power good, could be slightly longer but not too short

January 2022 update: After using the product for 3 years, I have reduced my rating from four stars to three. This is because, compared to a genuine Dyson part, the extension tube I received was missing the two ridges down either side of its male end. Eventually the socket on the bin of my cleaner, to which you attach the wand, cracked under the abnormal stresses caused by the missing ridges. The damage to my cleaner meant that the wand no longer clicked in place and it kept falling out of the socket. I did manage to repair the socket enough to retain the wand again, using a cable tie and some carefully-drilled holes, but I have ended up buying a genuine Dyson wand which has the proper side ridges, and it makes a much sturdier connection. For me, this turned out to be a case of "buy cheap, buy twice". I notice that the product as pictured does actually include the ridges that the one I received did not. I am not sure if this is because they have added the ridges to the design since I bought mine, or whether it is because the product does not match the pictures. My original review from March 2019 follows below: This extension tube does the job and looks the part. I'm a happy customer. However, there are a few things about this product that make me reluctant to give it 5 stars. Unfortunately I don't have a genuine Dyson wand to hand for comparison. For all I know, the genuine Dyson part might have the same flaws, so bear that in mind as you read on. Firstly, I couldn't help noticing the plastic ends are not entirely straight compared to the tube, which reduces my confidence in the strength of the assembly. They seem to be holding up so far though (through several weeks of use). Secondly, I also noticed that there isn't much mechanical compliance in the electrical connector. It would be better if it could move around a little so that the strain of the thing flexing back and forth isn't transmitted into it. Finally, I found that it was quite easy to accidentally scrape the purple finish off on the underside of a sofa. I would say the product is definitely worth the price though, as none of these are enormous problems.
