Smart, simple and effective.
Such a simple yet effective piece of tech. It was easy to add to my existing Switchbot setup, which in turn works perfectly with our Alexa setup. For considerably less money than buying smart bulbs it's let me automate a set of room lights. I can now remotely control these, add them to routines and just over all simplify our setup. Highly recommend!

Turns a normal wall switch into a smart one (great for rentals) ✅🔘
I got the SwitchBot Smart Switch Toggle to automate a traditional wall switch without rewiring, and it works exactly as expected. It’s a clever solution if you’re renting, don’t want to change the switch, or just need a quick smart upgrade. What I like ✅ • No wiring required — you can make a regular switch “smart” in minutes 👍 • App control and timers/schedules are very handy (lights on/off automatically) ⏱️💡 • Strong button press action for toggling the switch reliably • Works well for simple routines like morning lights or bedtime shutoff 🌙 • With the Hub Mini, it integrates with Alexa/Google Home/IFTTT for voice control and automations 🔗🗣️ What could be better ⚠️ • You need a good mounting position: if the switch is stiff or recessed, placement can take a bit of trial and error • Looks slightly “gadgety” on the wall (not completely invisible) • For voice assistants you must add the Hub Mini (not standalone) Bottom line: A practical, renter-friendly way to automate existing switches without an electrician. Perfect for lights, fans, and simple on/off devices ✅✨ Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Clever but...
This is well designed, well made and a clever solution for when you can't swap out a switch for a smart one for whatever reason. The unit is compact, the actuation is powerful and the adhesive pads are very strong. The phone app is also quite good - clear UI and works well. But for a UK switched spur with a stiff rocker switch, it was a challenge to get it working. Like another reviewer, I had to cut a slot in the small switch pad in the end. I also had to unstick and restick the unit a few times which it fortunately seems to tolerate. It seems reliable now but given the fine margin in positioning we'll have to see how it gets on in the longer term. More annoying was the discovery that I couldn't even schedule it without the hub. I had assumed it would pair with my Samsung SmartThings hub (which works with almost anything) but this is a BLE rather than Zigbee device so it doesn't. But even without a hub, it should be possible to program a schedule from the phone app and send it to the unit itself. Remote control from the phone on its own is of no use to me at all and I would think this is often the case. Anyway, my bad as they say, I should have researched more thoroughly but be warned!

Easy and quick automation for any button
Great inexpensive solution to automate a button or switch. I currently use it to turn on/off a server computer in another room. You can use the app to set up for how long the button is pressed too. Note that this works with Bluetooth, so you can't be too far away from it to activate it. If you buy the hub, you can control it from anywhere via the internet. Very basic functionality but does the job. It's easy to install with the included adhesive. It uses one CR2 battery that lasts for months and it's easy to replace by removing the front cover. The only downside in my case is that the device partially covers a USB port that I need to use sometimes and there's no easy way to remove it as it's glued in place with a strong adhesive. Then I need to replace the adhesive (which I bought separately). I would like to see a redesign to allow for quick removal/reattachment or a slimmer version that doesn’t take so much space. All in all, might not be the cleanest or most practical solution for everyone, but if you just need a button to be pressed and aesthetics is not important, I totally recommend it.

Does what is says. But only just.
2023 edit: You now cannot use the device/app without an internet connection and signing up for an account. If I could change my rating to 0/5 I would. old review: To setup the bot you need a phone/tablet with bluetooth. The app is easy to use and works fine without an account and without an internet connection (I'm usually paranoid about data security with these types of IoT devices and their apps so this device working fully offline is, imo, excellent). You can set the scheduled time for when the device activates (either on or off) and whether this is a one-off or if it is to repeat; For the repeat you set which days of the week you want the schedule to repeat on; Unfortunately you cannot set a periodic repetition (like every X days, or weeks etc). Once the schedule is set the bot will run the schedule by itself, you do not need to keep any other device (like your phone or a home hub etc) connected to it. The bot can do single push or push/pull, and you can set how long the push or pull lasts in seconds. Ultimately this bot does exactly what I wanted it to do: It does not require an internet connection to setup, it does not require my phone to be continuously connected to it to work, and it will turn a switch on and off to a schedule each day. The reason I did not give the device 5 stars is because of the push/pull action. As other reviews have pointed out the strength of the push is not huge, but it is just about enough for what I needed it for. The pull strength is greater, but as with other reviewers I had to cut a gap into the pull attachement so that the push would work correctly; This brought about another problem, as the cut reduced the surface area for the pull attachment to stick to the switch, and when the bot pulls back, it pulls back really far, far enough to actually rip the pull attachement off of the switch; To remedy this, I had to get some extra double sided sticky pads, and sandwich them together in order to raise the pull attachement up off the switch so that bot would no longer tear it off. So the bot was a bit fiddly to get working, but it does work, and once it works it seemingly works reliably well and exactly as I wanted it to.

The product is very good and useful, but we need to have a flat surfaced special switch and socket panel to stick the bot, will not be useful for old Indian switch panels.

Very odd device but it actually works with almost all kind of buttons if you install it properly. It’s very important that you test the function few times BEFORE sticking it in place. Luckily there are 2 adhesive tapes in the package you can use.
