I have owned many Dell computers in my lifetime and this one is a solid performer for gaming and everyday usage. Its only weakness is that the audio port seems to be a dust magnet and has to be blown out regularly to maintain a connection to an external speaker or headphone. I got tired of blasting it with a can of compressed air so I just use Bluetooth for external sound with it now.

The PC is working really great, FPS are amazing on AAA games. I have only two complaints : The power cord is HUGE. Way too bulky The computer run hot, can’t really use it without a cooling pad

The worst laptop I’ve owned. Returning it. • Constant blue screens, especially when playing Battlefield 2042. Random restarts mid-game make it impossible to enjoy. • Cheap, low-quality packaging that didn’t feel protective at all. For the price, I expected better. • Bulky power supply in a form of a brick 1/4th the size of the laptop itself. • Crashes, overheating, and restarts ruin the gaming part, definitely not worth the price.

Have had numerous serious issues with this laptop since I bought it. Every windows update breaks something else in the software. The Alienware command center app is a RAM hog. Playing WoW with discord open and the Alienware system monitor overlay was using 15 GB of RAM. The "Gaming mode" button that turns on turbo performance is also reportedly responsible for frying people's CPUs. I think mine is a victim of that as well. The PC overheats without the turbo mode on because the fans hardly work in normal performance mode. Mine likes to shut off randomly without warning or errors. I first thought it was overheating but it does it sometimes within minutes of being turned on for the first time in a day. Today, it shut off twice so I pulled the cover to check the battery connection. After unplugging the battery and plugging it back in, the PC would not turn on for about 30 minutes at all. It also now will not turn on unless it's plugged in, regardless of the battery charge, which remains at 81% and healthy according to the BIOS. Every update of windows or audio drivers changes the settings and defaults of my headphones to something else. There's are 3 locations of settings to choose which audio hardware you are using, and they all get swapped around. Having to dig through each one to figure out why my mic stops working for example, is annoying. These issues are far beyond my ability and desire to fix. In short, this has been the most problematic PC I've ever had the displeasure of using. And at $1700 it's laughably bad. A "Gaming PC" that overheats at idle while the screen is in sleep mode is just stupid.
