Skechers Men's Oswald Balder

My husband is a chef on his feet all day. He says these are the best shoes he has ever had. The only shoes we will buy in the future! Good fit, good support and good price!

I live in a sort of rural environment. Lately I've come to clogs because they are easier to take off when I come in and not bring sand and gravel to the floors. That is an issue because I'm older and have had a stiff knee for the past 40 years. They meet my requirement on that. Today was a different challenge. What shoes to wear in the damp and light rain. I tried the new clogs and they worked fine for my work outside for an afternoon. Yes the "new shoes" were dirty when I came in, but I was able to slip the insoles out and wash down the shoes in the sink. This was much easier than dealing with boots, etc. The shoes came and fitted loosely. I've a narrow foot, so that was no surprise. Adding a second insole fixed the issue and gave me better arch support as well as a comfortable fit.

Nice! Comfortable! Easy to clean! My husband loves the way these shoes feel. He has to be on his feet most of the day and his feet feel like he's walking on a bed of cotton. He also appreciates the fact that he can just wipe them clean and they look like new. I gave them to him as a Father's Day gift. Of course he found them before Father's Day and decided to wear them. He was thrilled that they felt better than most of his name brand tennis. They are a little wider but he likes that because he doesn't like his toes cramped. No one gave me a discount for this review....not even a cookie but when I think I can help someone choose a good reasonably price product, I enjoying doing so😊. Hope this helps.

I am an Exec. Chef and am on my feet for 10+ hrs a day. I got mine one size bigger for comfort, and it is easier to break in too. I seen alot of bad reviews because of the bottom soles becoming unglued. DO NOT MICROWAVE TO SOFTEN OR BREAK IN!!!! Just buy the shoes one size bigger and you will not have any blisters, callouses, or discomfort. I highly recommend. Personally prefer Sketchers over Dansko any day.

I am giving these shoes a fairly good rating only because of the quality of the shoe. They felt good in my hand and looked to be made sturdy and with quality materials. Take notice of the sizing, they are way too small. It was like trying to fit a man-sized foot into a child-sized shoe. I could not get my foot past the opening that was just too narrow. I thought I was sent the wrong size, but the size on the shoe was correct. Either they are made too small or the size is mislabeled.

I bought these for work in a commercial kitchen. First, they were way too large and the heel is designed in such a way that it will immediately slip right off your foot if there is any extra room in the fit, so I was constantly stepping on the shoe as it slipped off my foot with each step. Second, there is very little in the way of arch or heel support. It felt like I was walking in clown shoes. Third, within a couple of hours of the first shift, they began making a squelching sound with each step, as if the insoles were already busted. My feet actually hurt more at the end of the day than when I was wearing my old busted out year-old raggedy ones. Immediate return. Normally, Skechers is rock solid for me but not today.

I work for Costco Wholesale, in the Bakery. On my feet on concrete 8+ hours a day 5+ days a week. I need a shoe that is comfortable, durable and slip resistant. 5 years ago, I found and tried a pair of Skechers for Work men's Balder Clogs. I will never WILLINGLY buy any other shoe for work. I have been with Costco for over 17 years. In that time, I have tried countless shoes that promise comfort on hard surfaces, durability in harsh work environments, and slip resistance. Skechers Balder Clogs are the ONLY work shoes that have ever come close to living up to the hype!!!!! I wear them only at work, each pair lasts for a year plus. The slip resistant tread wears slowly and fairly evenly. They come with a decent removable ensole. I have bad feet so I replace it with the Walk Fit Platinum Orthotic. The point is, if you have a demanding job that requires standing on a hard surface for hours every day, these are the shoes want and need. Be advised, these shoes do not provide steel to protection and are not very puncture resistant from beneath.

These shoes (for me) last a very long time. I normally wear them for work, but they have almost become my everyday shoes. The slip resistance is excellent, the footbeds are very well constructed and easy to clean and shine up. I remember when I was moving a few years back... It had been raining, and my apartment complex had those cement pebble steps, but it was summer, so I was wearing shorts... I was originally wearing my tennis shoes and was carrying a box down the stairs and, of course, the stairs were a bit slippery and I almost slipped down the stairs!!! After I regained my composure, I immediately switched into these shoes (which I wear for work) and they gripped so well!!! I could care less what I looked like. Just one added bonus... If they start getting loose around the arch of your foot, set them out in the sun for a few hours. They will shrink back up and fit snug around your foot.

Nice but it look more like plastic than leather.

Ive used other brands like birkenstock. Working long hours my feet still suffered. This product is alot more affordable and so much more comfortable.

This is a very good pair of work shoes. I have worn it for 2 years. It is comfortable and durable. Unfortunately, if I want to buy it again, they are out of my size 8.

These are great!!! I am a chef and my first time using clog style in the kitchen. I won't be using regular shoes ever again. Order one size larger like I read in a review before I purchased and they are a perfect fit. I don't find my feet sweat like other reviews say. Super comfy and good quality. They truly are non slip. Not very good at all when walking home from work, take regular shoes for that.
