I was skeptical for the price of this item but it delivered. I purchased this item to get the bugs and debris off the top of the water for our swimming pool that the skimmer didn’t catch. Simple doesn’t take up a lot of room for storage and works great. The mash is small enough to catch tiny debris and it’s easy to clean off when you’re done. I was expecting it to be pretty flimsy, but it’s actually very solid and durable. I wouldn’t push too hard on the mesh, but I think that’s common sense.

I think this is perfect for my needs. I got it to skim the grass and floating debris off the surface of the dogs wadding pool. We have a new puppy that is a huge water dog by breed. I grew up with an in the ground pool and skimming us one if the most regular tasks. I don't have one but my dog needs a big puddle and this is the perfect size skimmer. The handle isn't super long but it is more than efficient for this kind of need. Imagine the size of a hot tub that seats 8. This would reach nicely. It's sturdy enough that I am comfortable to do the skimmer "slap" to remove debris as it gets full. You scoop the debris with the net of the skimmer and turn it over and slap the handle or frame of the skimmer on the side of the pool to jar off the dirt and debris. Sometimes a quick turn over if the skimmer and a quick shake is all you need. I am very happy with this product. Definitely recommend.

This works well, just a little shorter than I expected. Its very durable so far as I've had it for 2 years now. It cleans well and the design is ok, just could have a longer holding pole. The plastic material has lasted and I would say its a good value for the money I spent.

the mesh on the net isn't tight enough to grab everything. lets a lot of trash through it, making it somewhat pointless if it only grabs the larger stuff out of the water. very flimsy/cheap feeling. can't scoop quick as it feels it'll break.

This is just the right size to skim the leaves/mosquito larva from my stock tank I water the deer with. It would also be ideal for a fountain with a basin. It is built sturdy and the handle securely attaches to the net. The net is flat and as such, is easy to flip over and tap the leaves out as opposed to a bag net. If you have a swimming pool, then you will know what I'm talking about. It is intended for small jobs and performs very well in that role. Whoever designed this knew exactly what they were doing and at twice the price, would still be a great value. Good luck!

This skimmer net is perfect for a spa / hot tub if you want to remove small things. It might come in two versions of mesh size. The model I received is blue, the model number is 40-376F-B. It is possible the F stands for fine mesh and the B stands for blue. I have read elsewhere people who bought 40-376 said the mesh could be finer. The one I received with a F in the model number is very fine mesh. It is the perfect size and shape for a spa / hot tub. Someone wrote a review saying the fine mesh is hard to pull through the water under water. I have not found that to be the case. Since the mesh is tight and not deep, it is easy to clean. All you have to do is flick it to clean it. The mold that made the plastic is a little rough. It arrived with a few rough plastic seems. I used sandpaper to smooth it. If you do this, be careful not to touch the mesh with the sandpaper. I am glad I purchased this skimmer and not a different one. It would be better if it came with a case to protect the mesh when not in use. But I have not seen any skimmer nets that come with something like that.

Great for cleaning pool but no means if hanging it up. Needs a hole to string it up.

I bought this to help keep a blow up pool clean works perfectly. The pin took quite a bit of pressure to put in to put the skimmer together though.

It is pretty lightly built and does not inspire confidence that it will last a long time. But it does have noticeably smaller pore size than a standard pool skimmer and catches lots of small debris that would otherwise be left in the pool. For an obsessive pool owner like me who hates seeing floaty stuff in my pool this skimmer is great. Catches pollen and small bits.
