Children of Anguish and Anarchy: 3 (Legacy of Orisha, 3) : Adeyemi, Tomi: desertcart.in: Books Review: An amazing conclusion to the series! - This was the conclusion to the Legacy of Orisha series, and it’s safe to say it’s now one of my favorite fantasy series. After that thrilling ending in the previous book, I was so excited to find out what happened next in this one. The world building was impeccable in every way, and the way the author weaves the stories of how all the Maji, Titans and the other allies from New Gaia came together to fight a common enemy was incredibly satisfying. The first half was very fast paced and filled with many twists and turns. I loved how it made me feel like I was on a roller coaster of adventures with the characters. There were also some great character development and I loved that so much. The only reason it wasn’t a solid 5 star read was because the romance felt messy, and it also sort of felt quite underwhelming towards the end for me. That’s probably because of how fast and short the ending was. I also had a few questions about why a particular character was absent throughout the book and what happened to them, which was never answered, so that part will probably haunt me for some time now. This is probably just my opinion, but I wish we could’ve gotten a longer epilogue to tie up all the loose ends. But apart from all that, I had an amazing time reading it and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good fantasy book. Review: A fight that you never knew was coming - The way things ended in book 2 was, we couldn't think there would be more left to unfold - but I am so glad to be wrong! Trapped in a cage on a foreign ship, Zélie discovers, they haven't really won, the iron skulls are back and King Baldyr is the true player behind the scenes who destroyed civilizations in search of her. Her destiny and fight to be free forever drive her to unknown shores, as she understands what it will take to break Baldyr. People who enjoyed the first two books in the Orïsha series will love this. I loved the world buildup, fast-paced narration, the characters (so happy to see Amari finally acting up) and the constant urge to survive even when everything seems lost. The antagonist's hunger for power and the blood moon ritual tie up this part beautifully. One thing that's tricky in here is a constantly evolving plot and the twists, which will be very subjective to readers - I enjoyed it for the most part except for the abrupt end. Also, there isn't much romance but I am totally fine fuelled by revenge too. Just wanted to put this out there for people looking for a romantasy section. My 16-year-old daughter has the whole series and loves each book. The series blends African culture, mythology, and fantasy in a masterful mix of creativity, intelligence, and entertainment. I picked the first one up out of curiosity. I read the summary on the back cover and thought it sounded like something she would like. She fell in love with the story, and we both love the artwork on these books; the covers and the prints on the sides of the pages are beautiful. I checked out the author, and this woman is brilliant and talented. They are supposed to be making these books into movies, so read them now!

¡Tomi Adeyemi no decepciona! ¡Soy un FAN! ¡¡La mezcla de espiritualidad africana con SCI-FI como MAGIA!! Ella escribe mientras yo imagino a EE. UU. como almas individuales con magia sin explotar.

From book 1 to book 3... There are so many ups and downs, so many surprises and twists, tears of joy and sadness so you keep going back for more. Each character has you feeling their emotions as expertly written by Tomi Adeyemi. You find yourself in the world that Tomi has written through each book. This final book in the series leaves you an emotional wreck but it is so worth it. Zelie, Tzain, Amari and Inan have been through it all. Love this series and highly recommend. I can't wait for the movie ☺️❤️
