Review: Best book ever - Best book Iโve read Review: one you might remember - I didnโt pick up this book expecting it to reach there โ into the quieter, unspoken parts of love and responsibility. But my first Abby Jimenez had a way of weaving warmth into the hardest conversations, and this one felt like standing in the middle of grief, guilt, and grace โ all at once. Samantha is accustomed to shouldering all of her burdens. When she meets Xavier โ a quick, gentle vet with baggage of his own โ it is fireworks but also its something more muted, safer. And perhaps that is what made it feel real. A single meeting. A single connection. And then life beckons her back โ to a mother fading into early-onset dementia, to a home that no longer feels like her own. What comes next isn't a grand romance. It's a patient, obstinate devotion. Long-distance love, unclear futures, the burnout of caregiving, of a history of no validity from family โ all done with gentleness, and without gloss. Xavier is not a hero. He's a man who insists on choosing her, over and over again, even when it is inconvenient. Even when it hurts. And Samantha's story isn't one of being saved. It's one of learning to soften when life has cut you sharp. Love doesn't always come to save youโ sometimes it simply quietly decides to remain. Although you can predict the ending and the pacing does hang a little too long in longing - but that's love sometimes, isn't it? Slow. Messy. Repetitive. Worth it. This was not about the romance only - it was the reminder that love and grief tend to share a room. And that the strongest type of love isn't boisterous. It's steady. It remembers, even when all else begins to slip away.

Abby is the queen!!!!
Oh I always thought no book will top Yours Truly for me.. but this one?? this one did!! Its a beautiful story which has genuine feelings, family that is struggling to stick together but still does.. Friends and colleagues that keeps you in check. Genuine adulting problems and how two people who are mature go through with a long distance relationship without causing any conflict!!

Loved it!
abby jimenez crushed my heart with this one (o xavier the saviour... where have you been all my life? this book was a whole rollercoaster it's funny, messy, emotional and so much drama in the best way. insta love isn't usually my thing but i'll let it slide for this because they just made sense i spent so much of the book heartsick for them......the dementia aspect was absolutely heartbreaking and the long distance part? do i've been there, i know how it feels and abby made it so real. the missing, the wanting, the wait it didn't feel forced at all. i loved every bit of it. abby knows how to mix the heavy stuff with the laughs and that's what makes her books feel so real. it's not just a quick rom-com, but if you're already an abby fan, you'll wanna read this one too๐ซถ๐ป

Hilarious and horrifying
Another gem from the author. She can never disappoint me!! The story is about two people going on a date, they think that they are compatible and even feel that they have found the right partner but but but, she is moving to another state miles away from him the very next day!! How are they going to find someone else when they have this profound connection!! ๐ I did not read the synopsis while picking up the book and it was shocking for me to know that she is moving upstate just after their date. Their bonding was something that is so well described in the book. ๐ Very tough topics are addressed in the book - abusive parents, dementia, family problems, proving self worth at the cost of love and along with everything unemployment. ๐ I liked the male character as he was so dedicated to his work, yet wanted to take out time for her and work harder to do everything that he could to move with her. That option looked unviable for them. ๐ Her character was very much focused on her family, she was all into making ends meet so that she can take care of her mother even though she was really good at her job. ๐ Plot moved swiftly and there was a point where you felt that what will happen next or rather will it be possible for them to meet!! Trust Abby to keep you hooked to the story and giving you an amazing plot twist at the end. I loved the story, it would have been a bit shorter but otherwise a beautiful read.

Heartwarming.. literally the most amazing book EVER.. i fell in love with this book instantly.. enjoyed every second of reading it.. the sweet banter.. the risk they take to make things work.. taking a chance on love.. the author's writing style just made me wanna read all her other books... because you can literally feel every emotions just radiating off the pages.. like you feel in you're part of the story.. you're part of that moment.. you're of Sam and Xavier's story.. ( honestly I shipped them so much) this made me believe in love again.. the beauty of fighting for your love.. even if it means you're miles apart.. your heart stays with them.. every little time you get to spend with them.. makes it even more special.. To be part of someone's story.. that's a blessing.. if you want to get out of a reading slump.. this is your go-to ticket.. each line making you smile with the right amount of spice, romance.. that'll keep you hooked throughout.. the chemistry between Sam and Xavier since chapter 1 was impeccable.. that undeniable tension.. and how much of a gentleman this guy is !!! Goodness!! GIVE HIM TO ME !! Xavier making excuses to see her.. to call her.. this guy here, raising our standards to the sky..
