Swapped out the external TPMS07 sensors
Originally, I had purchased the TPMS07 external, valve stem sensors which NEVER worked reliably. I finally gave up on them after several months of fighting with them. About a year later, I had the need to add air to a tire and discovered that the TPMS07 external, screw on, sensor had seized to the valve stem. My local tire shop cut it off and replaced it with a new stem. As I was at the point of new tires, I decided to switch to the TPMS08 internal sensors, which XTRONS indicated would easily pair with my existing TPMS07 receiver and app. During the teardown of the old tires, it was discovered that a second TPMS07 external sensor had seized to the valve stem. THIS IS A VERY BAD DESIGN! At any rate, the internal TPMS08 sensors were installed and I was able to pair them successfully. Hopefully these will be more successful than the TPMS07 external sensors.

Non replaceable batteries. Torque to 30 Inch Pounds. Works perfectly with XTRONS TE706PL head unit.
I'm glad this company still makes internal TPMS sending units because I'm nervous that the "valve cap" types would just be stolen from my vehicle. I had to find a local tire shop to perform the installation for me (at $40.00 a tire), because most major chains will not install TPMS senders unless purchased through their own company. The technician at the shop was nice enough to take a torque reading after the install. He said they were torqued to 30 inch pounds (AKA: 2.5 foot pounds or 3.39 Newton Meters), and they have been leak free. I'm running this XTrons head unit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CPS731Y So far the operation has been flawless. I'm a little concerned that these units do not appear to have replaceable batteries, but I'm willing to wait and see if it becomes an issue. 2025-04-13 Update: Still working.
