Works Almost Too Good
We live in the mountains and the humidity is about. 25%. We got two of these as we have an open space home with no heater. We use wood heat only and it gets horribly dry. One upstairs and one down. It's pretty loud so heads up on that. But man does it put out the humidity. We were running both of them the first day we got them. Got up in the morning and our windows had ice forming on the inside! LOL! They work a little too well. We found a good setting for us and fixed the ice issue. We also really only need to run one. Our house is 1750' but wide open except for the bathrooms. We also have very hard well water and because of this design we will never have to worry about parts getting a build up of minerals. It's literally a bucket of water with a fan sucking it up. Pretty cool and simple. It also puts out a little cool air so in the summer that will help as we don't have nor really need AC. It moves the air and make the space a little cooler. All in all it's a good product and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone living in a dry area.

Does an AWESOME job, but cheap plastic construction, and no tanks. (Pic of tanks is my OLD unit)
This unit humidifies LIKE CRAZY! It does an excellent, if loud job, of humidifying our approximately 2,000 Sq. Ft. log cabin. It works even better than my old Sears Kenmore evaporative humidifier. A couple caveats that kept me from giving this humidifier 5-star rating. 1.) Build quality, though adequate, just feels like flimsy cheap plastic. 2.) No Tanks! You need to have a hose or jug to fill the water. My old Sears Kenmore unit (in the picture with 2 white plastic tanks) had two 2 gallon+ water tanks. This unit has a cavernous tank with a full line. (See second picture.) The controller and head unit with the fans is of good build quality and seems (at least) every bit as good and rugged as the Sears unit. You can turn down the fans to humidify without feeling like you are standing outside at the airport waiting for jets to takeoff! This thing can be REALLY LOUD! So if quiet is important to you either turn down the unit—and decrease its efficiency, or pick another humidifier, probably a quiet mist one. Need powerful winter humidification? Don’t care if it’s loud? Not looking for tougher physical construction? Then this is definitely for you. This unit got here incredibly fast! My order said that it would arrive by Wednesday, but it was here EARLY! It arrived (with free shipping) on the Saturday before it was scheduled to arrive! As long as you know what to expect you should be very pleased with the AIRCARE Digital Whole-House Console-Style Evaporative Humidifier. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to a friend.

Makes my house feeling warmer with moisture in the air.
This is my 3rd unit of this company. The first one had two tanks that you filled and then lowered into the unit. Worked good for a few years. Then one of the tanks would not empty. I bought new plunger caps ad it still failed. Bought my second unit that did not have the tanks to fill. I bought a clear hose that attaches to my bathroom sink and I fill the tank within minutes without carry water jugs and spilling. I will admit that it can take at least 5 minutes to fill it up. DON"T walk away, i flooded my floor one time by not paying attention and it overflowed out the back. The third unit (this one) I bought for my Mom to use in her dry house to help stop her coughing. On level 2 fan, it is still very quiet. I only have to fill it up once every 3 days. I usually only need to replace the paper filters once each beginning of the season.

Works OK but flimsy and prone to breaking apart
It's flimsy and breaks apart easily. The wheel holding broke off so it is perpetually tilting in one corner and making dragging this around a pain. Next the lid broke so filling water is a task. Worked Ok for a bit until these issues developed.

Humidifier
My older client had me purchased this humidifier for her. It does maintain humidity really well. Downsides are its loud, the filters had mold on them in less than two months. Its easy to fill but splashes outside the machine just as easy. With the mold on the filters I dont recommend esp since I regularly maintain it.

Performance worth the price!
I have used this product for 5 months now. I have been very pleased with its performance. It has ran efficiently and quite continuously in my space. It has required daily water refills, due to the amount of time it has had to run in my home. We have preferred to set the unit on fan speed of 2 because level 3 is a little too noisy for our liking. Level 2 fan speed with a humidity set allowed the unit to go off and on as needed. We tried to use the automatic feature but it seemed to cycle on and off too often and at the higher fan speed, so it got on our nerves. We are very satisfied with the operation of this unit by using the modes I listed above. The improved air quality of our home was great! The product is attractive and easy to move with smooth caster wheels. I recommend product.

Not what I expected....
In previous residences I have always had a humidifier - specifically a West Bend revolving drum. This new residence (a fully restored Center chimney Cape) with less than 2500 sq ft) needed a unit of quality and efficiency so I purchased this unit. It is not well designed, hard to add water (no fill point, just alongside with a directed stream from a plastic 2 gal watering can) with no full indicated with the exception of two adhesive labels with a horizontal black line inside that you cannot see unless you have a flash light. If you mistakenly "over fill", water will pour out through the back side vents and on to the floor. Additionally, the rear plastic float which is designed to drop down with a low water level to shut off the unit, binds and indents as it is a poorly designed bulb at the top to lower a lever to shut off power. The filters, 4, are likely to crush or loose their shape when wet as the "indentations" to hold in place beneath the upper cones which direct the fan driven air cannot keep the filters in place and often lay over and become flat. Overall, I simply would not recommend this unit for it's pricing and design. I would return it if I could. Michael (New Hampshire)
