I purchased this Prime-Line frameless shower door bottom seal to replace the original framed bottom on my shower door, which was over 10 years old. Rather than replacing the entire door, I decided to try this product first, and I am very glad I did. Removing the broken original framed bottom took considerably more time than installing this new seal. It slips onto the glass easily, fits perfectly, and gives the shower door a much more modern, updated appearance. One of my favorite features is that it is virtually invisible, so it doesn't detract from the look of the glass door. I purchased this seal about six months ago and have had no problems with cracking, wear, or deterioration. Despite some reviews mentioning these issues, mine still looks and works like new. Installation was straightforward. I used a box cutter to trim the seal to the correct length and fine sandpaper to smooth the cut edges. Although the bottom of the seal does not quite touch the tile beneath it, I have had no problems with water escaping outside the shower. Another advantage is that the seal can be removed easily when it is time to clean it, making maintenance much simpler. Important tip before ordering: Measure the thickness of your shower door glass carefully. The difference between the 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch versions is significant, and getting the correct size is essential for a proper fit. Overall, this product was an inexpensive and effective way to update my shower door without the expense of replacing the entire door. After six months of trouble-free use, I am extremely pleased with the fit, appearance, and performance. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to replace an old or damaged shower door bottom seal.

I'm not great at measuring but I got the right size and I am beyond thrilled that it took me about one minute to cut! I got a mini hacksaw back when I mistakenly thought I could cut small pieces of crown molding lol. It was perfect for this! I measured it with the old one and added about a quarter of an inch more because there is a slight gap between the two pieces of glass on the door when it is closed. What's the point if you're still having water come out and get on the floor? So I made it a little bit longer and I filed it with a metal file and a sandpaper file I had. I made sure the end I cut was going to go against the wall in case it didn't look so great. I put most of it on and then carefully hammered it on the end with a rubber mallet to slide it all the way back (which you have to do because it can't be snapped on near the wall as there's not enough space). It went on perfectly and didn't need anything to keep it on and as others have suggested you could pull it down a little bit more if you needed some extra to reach your shower sill. most things that seem like they should be easy never are especially for 8DYI person like me which is how I accumulated so many tools. Anyhow again beyond thrilled with the outcome it's going to be better than the last one :)

We recently had a frameless shower door installed, and it slipped out of adjustment putting pressure on the original shower seal. In my attempt to work with it I managed to tear the two blades on the bottom, so ordered this one. This is obviously cheaper than the one the glass people installed; three things stood out- the plastic on this seal is not clear and smooth, the plastic is thinner, and it is slightly smaller. The clarity was not a big issue, but the dimensions could be a problem for some: the fit on the glass is fine, but the angle piece is shorter (not a big deal) and the flanges on the bottom are shorter- they may not make a good seal to the bottom surface. Our old one measured 7/16ths, this one is between 5/16ths and 3/8ths. I have a piece of the seal in hand right now, and comparing it to the photo in the description it looks different. See the angle piece in the photo reaches to the level of the bottom of the channel? The product I got stops well short of that. I'd say our old product looked more like the photo than did what we got. For our situation it is working, so I'm satisfied with this. I'm giving it four stars for the fact it's a good value. I do recognize it is a less expensive product of an inferior quality, though.

Fits my 3/8 inch glass door perfectly! I tried two other before this: one was too big, one was too small. This was perfect! Slid on with some effort but it has a nice tight seal.

The 3/8 inch Frameless Shower Door Bottom Seal is a hard, clear plastic. It's good. It was shipped in a huge box without padding. Oddly two inches on one end were cracked and over an inch completely broken off. Luckily I only needed less than 30 inches so I could trim off the damaged end. Measure twice, cut once. TIP: You need very strong snips to cut this material. Razor blade or scissors wont work.

This has been my go to Brand/Model of replacement shower door seal since we moved into our house in 2019 that required them. I have replaced them at least once a year when they wear out. They have always been great and worked much better than what was on the shower when we moved in. Just received my most recent order. I’m not sure if the manufacturer has changed, or if they have just changed the design to save money. But this is definitely not the same product. The plastic is brittle making it nearly impossible to cut to size without breaking some pieces off. The actual door sweep on the bottom is stiff and a fraction of the length of the one that I took off. This makes it useless as a shower door seal. Just ordered a different brand. Hopefully it will be like the old Prime-Line. Be forewarned. If you have ordered these in the past, you’re not going to get the same quality product that you’ve gotten before.

Fits snug and does the job as long as you measure well and your shower door is level with the floor. This is the second one I've bought and it's not because the first one failed but because my shower door is not perfectly level with the floor and I have to trim the sweeps. I happened to trim a little too much on the first one and the sweep was no longer touching the tile. It still worked fine but not as well as it should and if I don't do something right I'm going to do it again. I'm not sure why one of the pictures of the product shows the sweeps off the tile. If they aren't gently touching and your tiles aren't angled into the shower it will pool up and run outside the door. Putting it on my doors as it came from the package caused it to jam and I had to pull hard to open the door. Once again that's not the products fault. With the new one I measured the distance on both ends of my door and cut the sweeps to match the distance from glass to tile. It's not easy but you need to learn to be handy to problem solve and overcome the annoying things in life. For the people that are getting leaks I'm betting that it's because of one of the following scenarios: 1. The gap under the door is larger than the sweeps. 2. Water is going through the vertical gap between the door and the other glass panels adjacent. 3. Their tiles were installed poorly and water is running out of the shower. 4. They shower like a baby bird in a bird bath and get water all over the door. It's not going to be a 100% water tight seal but that's not what it's supposed to be. It does what it's supposed to do which is keep splashing water from easily seeping and pooling on the outside of the shower door. If you shower like a normal human and your shower head isn't aimed directly at the door you should be good to go and happy with the purchase.

It was easy to install, had the right dimensions and worked to keep water from leaking. However, it broke within a month of purchase.

Ordered this a few weeks ago and installed it the same day it arrived. I'm glad the item is longer than my door because it allowed me to test cut. Here are a few important tips I learned: 1. Test cut on one end. I didn't have a fine tooth blade on my mitre saw so I tried using a course blade and it chipped the one end off unevenly. Definitely use a fine tooth saw/blade. I ended up using a manual coping saw and it worked out great. 2. Sand down the corners so that once it's installed, the sharp plastic corners do not scratch anyone. It doesn't require a lot of effort for the sanding. I just picked up a small piece of sandpaper I had lying around and rounded the corners. 3. When applying it to the shower door, you will definitely have to apply a little bit of pressure to get it on but it's a nice snug fit on a 3/8 door. 4. Clean any gunk/mold from the old sweep prior to putting the new one on (important otherwise it won't go on properly). As another reviewer mentioned, it does turn white when you cut but this is because the wrong tool was used to cut it. Take your time when cutting it and again, use a fine tooth saw or blade. That's the only way you will get a nice finish on your cut.

Installed it on bottom of glass door and now provides a very good seal at bottom of glass shower door. No water leakages any more. Great quality product! Would buy again!!

Product tore under normal use after just 3 weeks of use. Have contacted the company for a replacement unit, awaiting a response. Will update my review to share an update once they respond.
