Just works a expected, rather better!
I put a favorite jacket of mine back together with this stuff. It was pretty much SHOT I thought and I paid plenty for it, so I tried this and since the seems had come aprt on the inside the fix can't be seen. It worked like a charm and holds great, washes a ok, and is tough as nails! Now, my jacket is synthetic so I cannot vouch for how it works on cotton or linen but I can't imagine it not working either. It dries almost clear but I wouldn't expect it to be used showing on the outside of something I wanted to wear to a formal!

Liquid Stitch
Great stuff. Been using liquid stitch for years. Bought first tube at the 99c store. Does hold pretty good after a few washes. Use it on ripped clothing. Worth a try.

Was easy to apply.
I used it to hem the bottom of a boys shirt that was torn. It worked easily and adhered nicely. I haven't washed it yet, that will be the true test.

it really works! - more or less -may well be a temporary fix
I had asked the previous reviewer ("concerned parent") about its washability and she was most kind to answer in the positive. I would like to add a few other good points. It's white, like Elmer's, and it dries perfectly clear (give it the full 24 hours if possible) IF you apply it thinly and evenly (a big glob would never be clear because the interior of the glob would never get air enough to cure it). NOTE: Elmer's won't hold up in the wash! Other fabric glues may SAY that they dry clear but actually turn a hideous brown with a little time. This does stay clear. If I am going to use it to apply something like rick rack or an applique I use a quality flat watercolor brush to evenly apply it to the underside. And since it does cure so slowly it is no problem having enough time to clean the brushes and the bottle's top with warm soapy water (no different than if you were painting with acrylics). Also store the bottle of Liquid Stitch upright with the tip tightly closed OR alternatively you could place a little clear plastic to the top of the bottle before you screw the clean tip back on. SUGGESTION TO THE PEOPLE WHO BOTTLE THE LIQUID STITCH: Why Don't You Have A Temporary Seal (Like They Have On Catsup Or Mustard) on A New Bottle! I had to struggle clearing the solidly clogged glue in the top and tip - so much that I nearly tossed it! NOTE: it is a bit toxic so wash your hands well and even then be careful not to rub your eyes. As I learned the hard way. What a fun and useful tool to add to my sewing supplies!

Does the job on so many items I can't list them all!
I love this stuff! Quick fix for so many items I can't begin to name them. Hems are a pain but this liquid stitch does the job and lasts a long time. There are so many other uses just great cloth glue.

Updated repacking makes it so much easier to use !
Love LOVE LOVEEE the new repackaging! This product has been my favorite fabric glue I’ve used for many years now, but hated how the old cylinder allowed air to dry it out… the new squeeze tube protects the consistency. Pro tip- wipe top with a damp paper towel after every use and screw cap on tightly to keep it brand new and easy to use ..

Still Needs Sewing
Would not recommend to adhere patches to fabric. I let the glue dry overnight and upon checking in the morning, the patches peeled off when I moved the fabric. I’m having to go back and hand sew these on anyway. So I found that it’s not permanent or equivalent to real stitching. Can’t hate the product, though, I imagine it’s better for hemming. PS I will say it’s been a good product to keep the patches in place while I sew them. My needle goes through the glue easily. Update: I used this to secure my threads on the inside of the sweatshirt after hand sewing the patches. Yeah, those aren’t going anywhere, so that’s awesome. However, the dried glue is scratchy on the skin, so use backing to avoid that! Definitely a fabric-to-fabric product.

Great Fabric Glue
It is my second purchase. I used it on my quilt cover, hems etc,. It doesn't come off even washed many times. Excellent product! delivery was fast.

Perfect for DIY projects.
I'd bought a "fabric glue" from the local store for a large DIY couch cover project. But to my disappointment, the glue didn't stick. Someone suggested this liquid stitch product, and it worked! It does dry really fast, so it's good to work in small patches, but once dry it is on there for good.
