My battery reads lr-44 - gh is this the same battery?

The LR44  (aka 357A), is interchangeable with the SR44 (aka 357), so they both will work in your device.  However, the SR44 is much better.   It is silver oxide, so it holds a high charge longer, and overall lasts much longer.   But if you just want cheap, the the LR44, is alkaline, and usually out of China.   In some applications where a near full voltage is needed, the difference can be the silver oxide lasting ten or more times longer lasting.  Be careful, for adds everywhere (and most counter salespersons) do not tell you the differences.  Sometimes counter clerks often only know that they are interchangeable, then assume that they are the same.   I see ads everyone, including on Amazon, that are misleading.  In this case, you get what you pay for, and the extra cost for the silver oxide is usually not that much.   The only disadvantage of the silver oxide is, even though they last a long time, when they do fail, they fail quickly.   Like  the customer electric carts io some grocery stores.  When you see the power going down, you better head straight to the check out counter.  Hope this helped.

Note that a nominal capacity depends on the device being powered by LR626 battery, drain current, temperature, battery age, and similar. LR626 battery is often labeled as AG4 battery, LR66 battery, alkaline 376 battery, alkaline 377 battery, and similar - regardless of the label, these are alkaline coin/button (D x H) 6.8 x 2.6 mm batteries.
