Thought they had not mentioned it on the product description, I preseumed that the glass cover has a small exit for the steam. I've never seen a glass cover without the small hole for steam to exit. Apart from this issue, product is very good. Was packed very securely and sent off. Cooking on it does save a lot of time and due to the non stick coating, no food gets stuck anywhere and it's easy to turn. Remember not to cook on high heat nor to put cold water immediately after finishing cooking, this will lead to minor cracking of the Teflon coacting.

I am writing this review after 2 years of using the product. I have used Hawkins product earlier as well but not sure about the non stick cookware. This item is value for money. It can be used for small family as 4 people or can be used for small get together. Easy to use clean and handle . It has thick base and great quality of nonstick coat. Food can be cooked with minimal oil or no oil . Just go for it.

I am very happy with this pot... Actually l can say here blindly one can go for any Hawkins product..Just be careful with hard anadoised product because it can't give the non stick performance but better than aluminium...I am using hard anadoised Hawkins contura 5 liter pressure cooker for 2yrs and I am absolutely Happy...🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 And this pot is really good for any type of food...I cooked chicken biryani 3/4 kg rice and it worked awesome...!!! This is a trusted brand from my mother's generation and no doubt today also it is on top with its quality n performance. I am going to make my kitchen a Hawkins kitchen... Because of it's new n handy range of products just I am loving it... It's cute, sturdy n a good performer !!! In this age of advertisement I don't believe offers buy 2 n get 1 free actually we r buying the scrap which will go very soon in the corner of your kitchen cabinet...Some has loose handle or non stick coating has come out n such many reasons... Here I would like to advise people You just do not spend the money on cheap product but buy a worthy product which will be like gold in your home, you will never throw it away... Hawkins Futura is a good brand and the product is the best. I really dont think granite is better than the good old non stick coating although the world seems to be promoting granite over traditional non stick Only downside of this utensil is there are no groves on the back of the vessel which makes it slip when you keep on gas and keeep stirring contents inside it
