Outer Space (Ken Jennings’ Junior Genius Guides)

My nephew is having a room makeover for his birthday and it’s astronaut/space themed!!! I got him this book because I think it’s perfect for him to even put up on his bookshelf and then read and learn all about what his room is going to be designed for!! Has so many cool activities you can do and trivia, definitely a lot of knowledge to learn from this book. Perfect for a pre teen!!!

The book is written in such a way that it really appealed to my almost 8 year old daughter. She loves learning about science, but most space books can't hold her interest for than 15-20 minutes. She couldn't stop reading this one. For several days, this was the only thing she wanted to read. About a month after she finished it, she started reading it again which she only does with books she really loves. He mixes humor, loads of facts about space, and some creative eye opening comparisons that really make this a great read. We read it together and we both learned a lot. It is a very fun and educational book.

I bought this for my grandson last December, partially because I had recently read the story of the author, who is local to the Seattle area. While my grandson didn't seem interested at the time, this past week he told me just finished it and it was the best book he ever read and he asked if I would get him the other 2 books in the series...which, of course, I did immediately. My grandson is turning 10 in a few days.

This book is full of interesting facts and trivia about Outer Space. I bought it for my niece, because she likes that you can pick it up and turn to any page and find something interesting. I even thumbed through it and found a cool tidbit about meteor showers. And they're not overpriced. Good deal.

Grandkids loved Ken Jennings' books! I bought all the Ken Jennings' Junior Genius books for each of my kids' families -- Our 11 year old grandson especially likes the Outer Space book. My 11 year old granddaughter read the other books and when she saw that the Outer Space book had arrived, she was jazzed! Our 9 grandkids are ages 11 all the way to 18 months. I am sure these books will get lots of use! Thanks Ken!

I bought this for a friend's six year old. He's been fascinated by outer space for over a year, and really got into it around the solar eclipse. This was a great gift. Now when I visit, I'm inundated with, "Did you know..." questions which I absolutely love. (And I usually DON'T know whatever fact he's about to tell me.)

I liked this book because it covers all of the important topics and is organized and written well. My one criticism is that is was not action-packed and making you want to keep reading. This review was by an eleven year-old.

I bought this for my nephew and he enjoyed it very much. He still keeps spouting facts to the family. It excited him about learning about space!

I loke the illustrations

Great book for a kid to start learning about the stars and planets. Done very like the horrible histories style, making it fun and easy reading for the young!
