So much larger than the 20v XR, but they perform great. I’ve used them everyday for the past week and they keep up for sure. Been using a sawzall, impact, and grinder. Definitely heavier than the 5AH but time will fix that.

I use these batteries on a Dewalt string trimmer. These larger batteries last longer in a power eating product.

Tried cheaper options but they are a waste of money and often failed after short usage. These are good and long term investments.

I purchased a pair of these 6AH's in January 23 and another pair in August. I always write the month and year of the purchase of the battery with a Sharpie so I can keep up with the age (I have about 10 batteries in varying AH). About 6 weeks ago, I noticed that one of the 6AH batteries bought in January would only charge to level 2 and would drop immediately when put on a tool. When time permitted, I tried to recharge several times on a Dewalt multi-charger and a single charger, but same result. I finally gave up on dealing with it because I don't have time to for it. My concern is how long will the others last; these aren't cheap. I will probably not buy anymore of these 6AH's until I can feel confident that the one battery was a fluke. UPDATE, 29 AUG 25: Of the two pairs I bought in 2023, only one still works. Allow me to point out, I don't use these batteries all day, everyday for work (I work from a computer all day), but do rotate use regularly as I renovate my shop/office and around the properties projects (they're endless between the chicken coop, large garden and beds, irrigation, the well...). Because of these failures, that I feel are premature considering my moderate use, and the weight, I will not buy these 6AH batteries for general use; I do have some devices that require 6AH, 8AH and 12AH batteries, so I will not be able to completely rid myself of big Dewalt batteries. However, for general use, I've decided to try the 5AH batteries: smaller size, weigh less, less cumbersome, cost less and true, runtime is slightly less. Hope this helps.

Theses batteries ROCK!

I am writing this review in hopes of clearing up problems with new batteries not charging. I ordered the pair of dewalt 20v 6 amp batteries. upon receiving the batteries they had 1 bar filled on the power indicator. I put them into the charger I already had dcb 115. The lights on the charger indicate they are charged, even though the battery is still showing 1 bar filled. I had the items replaced, they sent a new pair of batteries out. The new batteries had the same problem. one battery in the new pack even had the light for temp activate. even thought they sat in the house for 2 days. I was about to return the batteries and somebody told my it was the charger. Even though they tell you its universal and any charger will work...they wont. Today I purchased the dewalt fast charger DCB118. and the batteries are taking a charge, finally. it only cost me another $95.00 Since they sent a second pair of batteries and all 4 are charging, I guess that makes up for needing to buy another charger. The sellers may want to add that to the description: THAT YOU NEED THE DCB118 FAST CHARGER FOR THESE TO WORK.

We. had issues with one of the batteries and reached out to the seller and they called right away and were helpful with trying to right the situation. Highly recommend.

Très dispendieux mais fonctionne très bien

Just bought these 6 amp batteries. Been using the 5 amp for my drills and skill saw. Previously with the skill saw I could make approx 30-40 cuts of 2x4. The 6amp made over 100 cuts of pressure treated 2x4 and 2x6. These batteries are a huge upgrade from the 5amp. Well worth the money.
