It's clearly a premium product that works exactly as advertised. If your hands are slathered with sunscreen, it will become dirty and degraded much faster. For me, too expensive to replace regularly, so I tolerate the decay for quite a while. As a tall person, I really need the larger grip size you get with an overwrap. For the indoor season, a no-brainer (lasts longer in prime condition). For the outdoor season, maybe I could find a better value, but so far I've been too lazy, so I let it get pretty horrible before I finally apply a new one. It's not like I'm playing in tournaments, anyway. And even when grubby, it still addresses the size problem.
