Brilliant Printer and brilliant customer support
I'm really impressed with this printer. I currently have the QIDI X-CF Pro for printing large items as my first 3D project required a 30cm print. I purchased the Q2 to do multi-colour printing. I thought the QIDI X-CF Pro was easy to setup, but the Q2 was even easier, especially with its auto-levelling feature. It's just so easy to use in all respects. I've tested it with PLA, silk PLA, PC and PC-CF. All turned out great, although I'm still refining the settings for PC-CF as the filament wasn't listed in the QIDI Studio software. I was particularly impressed with the PLA prints. I printed new hands for my sons Poppy Playtime Grab Pack as a test. I used the generic PLA settings in QIDI Studio with the Strength option chosen to ensure the fingers were good and strong. You can see the excellent results in the photos - the blue hand is PLA and the red hand is silk PLA. There was no stringing and the support came away very easily once finished. The surface finish is brilliant too. I love this printer and I love the QIDI Studio software too. My printers are located in a detached garage, but I can now monitor prints in the Q2 from my house using the QIDI Studio software and the camera in the printer. My kids also love watching the prints grow. I was new to 3D printing when I purchased the X-CF Pro and didn't exactly start with an easy project or filaments (PA12-CF, PC & PC-CF). I have to say the support offered by QIDI was and still is fantastic. No question is ever too much trouble. I can't wait to get a QIDI Box so I can try multicolour prints on the Q2.

A great 3D printer. And yes it can print while laying on it's side.
I’ve been using the QIDI Q2 for a few weeks now, and I have to say - I’m genuinely impressed! This isn’t just another hobby printer; it feels solid, reliable, and surprisingly versatile. It’s an enclosed CoreXY machine with a sturdy frame, smooth motion, and a hotend that hits 370 °C, so it can handle almost anything I throw at it. Including printing on it's side🤪. What really blew me away is the range of materials it supports out of the box. PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, nylon, PC, and even carbon- and glass-filled filaments. The built-in chamber heating helps reduce warping, especially on tricky filaments like ABS and nylon - something I have struggled with on my previous printers. In terms of dimensional accuracy, the Q2 is spot on. My parts come out very close to the intended size, and the auto bed-levelling makes first layers almost effortless. Even with trickier filaments like nylon or PC, once I dial in my slicer settings, the prints are consistently precise. Another thing I really appreciate is the email support from QIDI. Anytime I had questions about settings or troubleshooting, their team responded quickly and was genuinely helpful - which is a huge plus if you’re new to more advanced filaments. Overall, I’m loving the QIDI Q2. It’s reliable, accurate, and handles a crazy range of materials. If you want a printer that can grow with your skills, prints functional parts without constant fuss, and comes with responsive support, this is a really solid choice.

The QIDI Q2 - a great 3D printer
I previously owned a QIDI Tech 1 for 8 years, and recently upgraded to the QIDI Q2. The tech has moved on a lot in that time. The printer was well packed for delivery, with foam in the right places and moving parts secured with cable ties. There was no damage of any kind. It was very straightforward to set up and operate - I was printing my first test item within an hour of opening the box. 3DBenchy was available as a test item, and it was printed very cleanly. It is much faster than my previous printer. Also the working space is twice as large - so 8 times the volume. It is also more enclosed, with activated charcoal filtration to remove air pollutants from the ventilation flow. The filament spool is on the side rather than behind, which makes inspection and access much easier. It connected seamlessly with my house WiFi signal, and designs that I already had on my PC were immediately available to the printer. The QIDI slicer is a major improvement. The hot plate appears not to need the rafts and other aids that my previous printer needed to help adhesion at the start of printing. Adhesion was fine even without using the glue stick. The plate is also self-levelling. Control is via a touch-screen, which is a huge improvement. So overall I am really impressed with the Q2, and pleased that I bought it, and am looking forward to using it.

Power cable QIDIQ2
I love this printer. But it keeps turning off because of the power connection cable, drops(like power cable doesnt fit in the printerproperly!) Causing the printer to turn off.Due to this its caused plastic to melt inside the nozzle.Printed fine before this happened.

Great printer for beginners and professionals
I want to start this review by saying that I also have other big named branded printers at home so I have had expectations on what I want from any new printer. The Qidi Q2 has been absolutely fantastic so far, the set up including unboxing, attaching a few parts, updating and printing my first Benchy was all done in under 1 hour. Everything was made very clear and for anyone buying this as there first printer it will be a breeze. I printed out a bed level test stl and It is came out better than my more expensive big name brand printer achieved, it was just perfect. This printer has a new bed leveling sensor and it clearly works very well, with most prints the first layer is the most important to getting a great print. overall with the short time I have used the printer I can see the quality if this printer and its build, a huge step up from the Q1 pro. The quality has been amazing and easily comparable to other big brands if not better. New style hotend, Linear rail, Heated chamber and the new bed leveling sensor make this printer perfect for beginers to just get printing without any hassle or even for professionals becauss its capable of printing tougher filaments like ABS and even PPS-CF. I haven't tested these out but its great to have that option in the future if needed. I will be definitely adding another one to my small print farm and I think I will now look into getting Qidi's new Filament box to get the extra benefit of multi-colour printing.

Good printer terrible company
Customer service is really bad, I wouldn't recommend this company. The printer itself is pretty good. The problem with qidi is, they have focused too much on flashy adverts and getting their printers into youtubes hands to make things look like a smooth operation. The reality is different. Their shipping of orders is atrocious. Things are missing from orders. Delivery companies that turn up photo your house and drive off whilst you are watching out the window, then say we tried to deliver, even though they never made it to the front door. They have an online chat, well they might as well not bother with that, live chat becomes a 24 hour wait only to get a response of your problem getting circulated around different departments and takes days to not solve a simple problem of "I ordered this and it hasn't arrived why?". The money you save on buying this compared to the company I should have used, you are going to lose in time later on trying to solve simple problems, anyone else could solve instantly. You can build a good printer but if your customer service is terrible you deserve to fail hard. A good product will Sell itself, stop wasting money trying to glitter a turd of a company and sort out your customer service.

Looks Great and Prints Even Better!
My first impressions on unboxing the printer were just how smart and professional the unit looks, the real glass and metallic paint combination gives it a really high-end look and feel. The printing process was also very easy too. Set-up was simple and quick and coming from the Q1 pro, the larger screen was a nice quality-of-life upgrade. The menu was easy to read and responsive to navigate. I’ve printed a couple of Benchy’s and just like with my older Q1 Pro model, was very impressed with the result. I’ve included a picture of both a PLA-CF Benchy and one made with the included PLA-Rapido, the ‘out of the box’ settings worked great and both printed practically perfectly. The fact that you can plug and play with this printer is great for beginners and the qidislicer software makes fine tuning more advanced models easy for more advanced users too. I’m very happy so far and looking forward to printing many more things!
