Dreamegg 29 Soothing Sound White Noise Machine

I was skeptical at first but for my mental health I need to keep my phone out of the bedroom which meant I needed an alarm clock but I haven’t had one in at least 10 years. I did a lot of research and was very intrigued by a fancy alarm clock that shall not be named but I couldn’t justify $170 and a subscription just to use it. I chose this one over the others because the fabric covering the digital time screen helps eliminate the blue light effects that others have and I liked that it is dimmable. I also found this one to be very cute as some of the other sunrise clocks I think are really ugly. This clock is easy to use, I love all the settings, it’s loud but gentle. I find that I tend to wake up before the alarm goes off because of how bright it is, which is fantastic since I no longer jolt awake. The snooze button will turn the light back on as well as the sound which is fantastic. The price is absolutely worth it for what you get even though it can seem hard since you can get cheapo clocks for $15, but your sleep and mental health is worth it, I promise.

I really like the sound options. I use white noise to sleep and its great to have a combo white noise machine and alarm. For me, the volume of the white noise gets plenty loud. And it’s pretty easy to adjust the alarm. The light up function I find quite helpful in the mornings. My one pet peeve is the white noise stops when I snooze. But I should probably be waking up then anyway. Happy I went with this versus more pricey alarm/light/noise machine type combos.

La alarma es muy bonita, sin embargo llevo casi dos meses de usarla y su función principal (la luz que debería de empezar antes de la alarma, el “amanecer”) por desgracia deja de funcionar cada cierto tiempo (al rededor de cada 3 días) A pesar de que la configuración se siguió al pie de la letra según el instructivo, la luz de la alarma no llega al nivel de brillo configurado, por lo que no me despierta la luz (como debería), sino el sonido. Es una pena ya que fue por esta función por la cual la compré, y no fue un producto barato por lo que no debería de estar buscando como reiniciar el dispositivo cada 3 días. De haber sabido que solo haría el sonido de la alarma no hubiera desperdiciado tanto dinero, o bien, hubiera invertido más en comprar la competencia que sí funciona. No lo recomiendo.

So form-wise it's 5 stars. I think it's a great shape. I love the linen-like fabric, very cool look. The "white" clock has a white cord but the clock is more cream, which I like. Function-wise it checks nearly every box. The display brightness is adjustable all the way down to off. There are different alarm sound options. The alarm brightness is also adjustable. In fact, even the time frame for how early the light comes on before the alarm is adjustable, so you can set it to start just 5 mins before the alarm which is a nice feature. It's easy to use and there's a back button if you go too far while setting the time (that's standard today but I remember days when you'd have to go all the way around again!) Two significant down sides-- the back up battery does keep the time and settings in place, but the alarm won't actually go off if you've lost power at that particular time. Hummm, the description made it seem like the battery back up was to still have the alarm go off. Major bummer I'd say. Also, when you snooze, the light goes off too. That kind of defeats the purpose of the light slowly waking you up if you can opt to turn if off for 9mins while in a sleepy state. I had a hard time finding anything that checked all the boxes for me, so I'll go with it, but I do wish it had those last two features. Overall it's a great clock and we'll designed.
