Isn’t Ghee just clarified butter?

They do have similarities but differ in processing. Clarified butter is made by removing the water and milk solids immediately after melting. Ghee is cooked longer, allowing the milk solids to brown before going through a filtration process.

Ghee tastes like butter, but better. It has a rich, deep flavor that regular butter lacks due to the browning of the milk solids during preparation. Because of this, it has a subtle, toasty flavor that elevates both savory and sweet dishes.
