I’m using a SM58 microphone with a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. How do I connect and use?

Connect SM58 to RO03 XLR input. Link RO03 output to 2i2 6.35mm Line In via XLR-TRS cable or 6.35mm TRS cable. Set 2i2 gain to minimum, then adjust RO03 gain slowly for a healthy signal level.

Can I connect two microphones to the RO03 at the same time?

No, you can only use one input at a time. The two input ports cannot work simultaneously.

Can I connect this preamp to an outdoor speaker?

Yes. Use a 6.35mm TS cable from the RO03’s TS output to the Mic or Line input on your speaker.

What’s the difference between the 3 output jacks on the RO03?

The XLR and TRS outputs are identical, offering more cable options. The TS output is an attenuated signal, ideal for connecting to non-professional devices.

Do I need to turn on 48V phantom power on my audio interface for condenser mics?

No. Simply enable the 48V phantom power on the RO03 itself.
